Sorry SMUU28, but the Dandy Demons calling themselves the Dandenong Redlegs is an absolute disgrace!! Trying to latch on to something that was so far out of reach of the demons, its not funny. I'm sure all of the redlegs faithfull will shudder at the thought!!

technically were the Dandenong Football Club nick named the Redlegs. And I couldn't give a rats toss bag if you think its a disgrace or not, as the only team left in Dandenong all were in favour of trying to house both identities, the last pres of Dandy Redlegs supports it fully, so much so all the Dandy west and Dandy redlegs memorabilia is displayed in the social rooms, which i might add looks fantastic.Sorry SMUU28, but the Dandy Demons calling themselves the Dandenong Redlegs is an absolute disgrace!! all?? = Dandy demons committee and 1 person from the old redlegs regime!! The same regime that allowed a coach to buy a premiership and send the club down the gurgler!!
And yes they were known as the redlegs, with a long and very proud history, something the demons, or dandy west or whatever the next identity deserves to put a claim to!!
If thats the case..of trying to identify yourself as Dandenong, How many of your players and officials will represent the club at Peter Stedwells Funeral???? Since he was a Dandenong champion!!!!!!
By the way Dandenong Stingrays do still play so your not the only team!!!!
And its a disgrace that Dandy (the real Dandy VFA) Memorabilia is housed in your social rooms!!!!
Thank you for your insightful input. Isn't it better to be housed at a football club rather in storage? This is a new club, The Dandenong Football Club and all it is doing is recogniseing the two teams that used to play out of the area in Dandy West and the Dandy redlegs. Wethere you think its a disgrace or not at least the Club is making an effort to be an identity and showing the history of the area. How about you blokes worry about Doveton and we'll worry about DFC. Again thanks for your input and see you round 1.

Would have to agree that it is a joke.
This is more like trying to make a sponsorship dollar or generate some publicity out of a club that had to fold due to incompetent management, similar to how you guys are travelling!
Dandenong's ex-players would be very upset that they are now linked to a SFL Division 3 Club that is unable to make finals!
