Geez, our trip to the MCG in 1879 was almost as big a debacle as the one in 2007.

Fos Williams and Norm Smith built up a great friendship and as both clubs made many GF's in the 1950's and the first half of the 60's we played Melbourne in both pre and post season games many times, and when Norm Smith went to South Melbourne, we played them instead.

That's why Big Bob was able to pinch South's cheer cheer the red and the white club song, but the swans pinched it off Notre Dame college football team.
