Re: Nath out Blake in?

Heard from my girlfreind's, sisters butler, dog washers cousins vet, that Bomber has decided to pull on the boots because he decided that we need more premiership players in the side:D

Once again another bull shit rumour

Re: Nath out Blake in?

I was actually thinking that before, Ottens plays forward and King & Blake do the ruck work.
But I doubt this will happen, Blake can't stand up to the PA ruckmen hence why he was dropped in the first place.
Would make a better team in my opinion.. Nath Ablett has been very average of late, if his brother wasn't in the team he would have been dropped by now i reckon..

pfft...he's in because he provides a contest and there is simply no one else ready to replace him or pressure him for his spot. tommohawk is at least another yr a IMO, and we've seen the efforts playfair and gardiner provide when they get the call up

As i said on another thread, thank f*ck people on here dont coach my team! Ottens is an almost All-Australian ruckman, why would u completely change your whole side's ruck AND forward structures that have worked so well during the season for the biggest game of the year?

Re: SEN CRAP RUMOR: Nath out Blake in?

blake isn't even on the emergency list so he cannot replace nablett
varcoe, however, is an emergency so if nablett was to pull out (unlikely) i would think varcoe would take his place

Re: SEN CRAP RUMOR: Nath out Blake in?

Just heard this story on the channel 7 news. I couldnt see this happening, but if it did I think it would be a serious mistake. Potentially disastrous.

Nathan looked healthy at the parade. Just a little bit weird, yes, but he always looks like he's not quite in tune with everyone else. Healthy, playing, is my tip.

yeah took the emergencies list from the afl website,
but my point still stands that if nablett were to pull out that it would be the logical choice to replace him with varcoe

Milburn in serious doubt?

I know we're all sick of 'my mates cousin's brother heard on SEN that a Torquay garbo said that one of the players is in doubt', but this one seems semi-legit:

On Before The Bounce Mike Sheahan was fairly adamant that Milburn was in serious doubt owing to his calf. Now, Sheahan faltered slightly when asked 'Did he train?' - blustered a bit about the closed training session but the undertone was I Don't know. The other big thing is that, presumably, if Milburn's under a cloud they'd name a suitable replacement...but they haven't. Most logical change would seem to be Rooke playing tall, Prismall in as a midfielder...which is less than ideal on both counts, IMO.

In any case, it'll be interesting to see.

Re: Milburn in serious doubt?

be tragedy if true. You need old, cool heads at this time. They lost M Wilson which with any luck will hurt them bad. Be bad if two of our all australians (Egan) the other aren't there.

Re: Milburn in serious doubt?

Pretty sure he's fine, last week after he got it strapped he went back out and played if he was injured he wouldn't have gone back on.

Re: Milburn in serious doubt?

He will play, a calf that he could get back on with last week is a calf that he will strap tight for a GF. He is tough enough and will want it bad enough to play with the pain.

I hope.
