Righto, so I poked my head in at training again today. .....
The only other things of note:
- Lock Alex Rance in for his 3rd AA. He will improve again next year.
- Ben Lennon. Looking fit, sharp and aggressive. Knocked more than 1 bloke over throughout training.

- Marboi Chol. I'm not sure what the knock on this bloke was that saw him slip to the rookie draft but he has some really exciting traits. Clean hands, a big leap and a neat left foot kick. If we don't sponsor him, then I'll be filthy.

Was too hard to focus on too much. Hopefully I can give a bit more next week when I can sit in the Jack Dyer stand and write stuff as I go (and actually see whats going on). Feel free to ask questions but like last time, I probably wont be able to answer them.
Very happy with these points johnno, thanks

Righto, so I poked my head in at training again today. Really shitty trying to watch from through the fence next to the merch shop and I wont be doing it again. Anyway, here are some bits and pieces gathered from what I saw.

Yarran, Hampson, Batch, Griff, Morris and Drummond all restricted to running laps at various paces. The one that seemed closest to full pace was Drummond. There was no sign at all of Lids, McKenzie or Chaplin. Pretty sure I accounted for everyone else including all the rookies.

Despite the early rain yesterday, training was a dry affair but with a pretty strong breeze which noticeably affected kicking.

First drill looked like they were working on exit kicks from stoppages deep in defence. A ruckman (either Maric or McBean) would contest against the speccy bag tapping to players goal side of the contest who would quickly kick towards the vicinity of the boundary. Looked pretty scrappy to be honest.

Next drill, a few of the boys put in mouthguards and many of the mids were doing stoppage work with 2 players in blue vests trying to defend a stoppage against a ruck (Ivan or Soldo) and 4 mids. Notable inclusions in this group included Moore, Townsend and Vlaustin. No sign of Cotch or Titch. Townsend is a mongrel and I mean that in the nicest possible way. Based on what I saw, he would be ahead of Moore to get first crack at the inside enforcer/protector role. His skills are definitely better.

There were other all ground drills etc but my eyes starting glazing over and I pulled the pin and moved on.

Good to hear Lennon is training well. With the limited interchanges in 2016 I think our forward line becomes even stronger as the likes of Deledio, Martin and Cotchin will be spending more time down there. Add those blokes to Jack, Vickery, Sheds and Lennon and we look to have many avenues to goal.

For us interstate members who cant pop in to see the training this non scripted real time appraisal is gold; keeps me up on the now and makes the start of the season even more exciting as i build up a profile of our players current efforts: huge thanks johnno77 from NSW

Many thanks

The laps guys are a few too many, though I'm no sports science guy.
I remember watching Ivvy doing plenty in 2014 and thinking he looked ace. Then he had surgery and missed quite a few.

I'm hoping everyone progresses nicely, but if they can't go to the next level then other action may be needed. Not being a chicken little, but just saying that Hampson must have been running laps for 5-6 weeks now. Must be more than just a niggle/ management.

Really looking forward to Mabior 2020.

If wanting to watch from a better spot I suggest Punt Road side - you can sit on a railing there and be elevated. Just have your membership card close in case someone suspects you are a foreigner. And of course if they told you/ me to nick off that would be the right thing to do

Thanks again

I know that Round 2 is still a while away, but if he's only just returned to the main group 2 weeks before the start of the NAB cup then he's going to be fairly underdone.
Hope he plays at 100 percent and his mate from GWS just really gives hurts him all night.
So much hatred towards the feral looking pig.
Almost as much as the drug cheats.
Last year beating all 3 mobs was nice as we have all copped it some way or another from the other side.
This year we do it again and more....
Hurry up round 1

I think Benny Lennon will step another gear this year no doubt.

How was conca moving? we really need him to be fit and hopefully play most games this year
