we really do need to figure a way to get a few veterans regularly rotating out of that squad, there's a log jam of talent in the depth category.

I'd be surprised if you didn't get arrested. Do you think that telling a dad joke to a young woman will work. She wouldn't know if you were trying to pick her up or adopt her.

The point is whilst on the list, TT and Hopper will play every single week they are fit. As will Prestia. They are all only midfielders.

So even if Prestia retires, in 2027 R1 we have TT and Hopper as centre square mids…. and if fit I’d hope we’d have:

Smillie, Lalor, Cumming, McCauliffe … with spurts from Ross, Grlj, Campbell and MRJ….

I’m sorry but if TT and Hopper are both on the list for another 4-years (as per their contract) it’ll slow the growth of our young kids as there just isn’t enough CBA’s to go around.

There’s no rush for any decisions .. as I said, let’s see how the youngsters shape up in the midfield in 2026 and decide from there.

We should have offered one of them to Hawthorn when the Merrit trade fell through. Would have given one of them the chance to chase the premiership they came to Richmond looking for
