do you think that instead of playing the conventional 18-a-side game in the pre season competition, we should reduce it to a 10-a-side competition.
Our game is one of those games that would be well suited to having less players than normal, but for some reason, we haven't ever taken up the inniative.
The only problem is that players would have to cover the extra distance in much greater temperatures.
My solutioin to this is playing on grounds that are slightly smaller. There could be a new boundary line drawn 15/20 metres in from the normal line. And we could play with 6 reserves, so each player would get good rest time. This would also be beneficial as it would keep the players fresh, and we keep the pace of the game up.
