From previous years Brownlow voting when the favorite doesn't win they usually poll well the next year. I'm going to put some money on Robbie Gray before the season starts, Port should be winning enough games for him to poll well. Pendles is at $21 at the moment, stupid not to take those odds. What was he paying last year when you put that bet on?
Just checked my bet(which I hadnt looked at since placing it)(superstitious reasons-not that im superstitious),but I actually put $200 on him at $10.I dont usually bet big-but I had won $500 winnin my work tippin comp so thought it was money worth spendin, when ablett went down,i thought I had it coz pendles is without a doubt, the 2nd best player in afl behind ablett, but not to be.Im thinkin I should go again next yr,worst case scenario,i lose my tippin comp winnings, and honestly, the winnings mean shit. Its my name on the work comp trophy that can never be taken away.Almost went back to back this yr.

I think you should go again, I'll definitely be putting some money on him at $21, that seems ridiculously high to me. Dangerfield would be someone else I'll look at, he polled way more than expected but he's at $12. Might be worth holding out on that one.

If pendles is payin $21,i'll def hav another go.Worried that ablett is unbeatable at moment if he plays full season. He,like pendles,(until this yr),draw the attention of the umps.I'm sure our form slump mid year(pendles cant do everything-well,he can,but not ALL the time),cost him lots of votes, but from what ive read, his shoulder injury really hurt him 2nd half of season.Hard to read danger at moment,i follow lots of footy,so am aware danger was restricted with injury this yr but he seemed to go missin lots this yr.Knowin the superstar he is,i reckon teams are puttin more work into him and he hasnt responded as yet(in my opinion). Not to matter,he'll be in black and white in 2016!!!

Ablett is by far the best player in the game and is deservedly favourite but I prefer juicier odds. Hopefully Prestia, O'Meara and Swallow keep developing and take votes off him.

Fyfe will benefit from the MRP changes but he's too short at $7.

After Pendles at $21 our next players are Greenwood and Steele at $81 ... Hahaha that's absurd!

Despite having a quieter year by his standards Danger still polled 21 votes, the umpires love him. If we could somehow land him I would be ecstatic. He's a gun.

Steele at $81,ive read few people predict him for the charlie.Good odds, but cant see him winnin one(would hav said the same about priddis though),fyfes got no hope, that mop on his head blinds him so he'll always make high contact.Forget that danger still got 21,shows how much the elite draw the attention of umps even in down seasons. This season was pendles first good chance coz swan didnt take half his votes,i reckon swanny and others might steal few from pendles next yr to make it tough though

I think 2015 will be Pendles' best chance - no Beams, Swanny getting old and the kids still developing.

Happy New Year! Haven't lost one yet so going ok :thumbsu:

JT might be back tomorrow ;)

I generally dont bet on anything related to Collingwood, although $3 to make the 8 looks tasty. Gold Coast @ $2.35 to make the 8 should be money for jam

2 games vs Melbourne, Carlton, Richmond, Essendon and Geelong - you'd think we would be favourites vs Melb and Carlton, Geelong are clearly the weakest of last years top 4, who knows who will trot out for the Bombers and Richmond haven't beaten us in forever. If we could win 6 out of those 10 plus take care of GWS, St Kilda and the Doggies we're well on the way.

Not sure what to think of the Gold Coast. They were terrific early vs weak opposition but then really trailed off. If you look back at who they beat last year, their only really impressive wins came against North, Collingwood and Geelong. They very well could come out and dominate, but I just don't know if they're the lock everyone thinks they are. At the end of the day only 8 sides can make the finals and Hawthorn, Sydney, Fremantle, North and Port are all locks IMO. Then there's some sides with favourable draws like West Coast and Collingwood. Richmond would expect to make the 8 as would Adelaide. Who knows, if the Bombers don't all cop suspensions then they're right in the thick of it as well. The only sides that appear well out of contention are St Kilda, Carlton, Western Bulldogs, GWS and Melbourne. Places 7 and 8 will be very hotly contested

I agree with most of that. The last couple spots in the 8 will be hotly contested. The Gold Coast were finals bound until Ablett got injured last year. They are also bloody hard to beat at Metricon now. I think with some natural improvement they will be ahead of Richmond, West Coast and probably Collingwood. Adelaide are hard to guage. Underachievers imo.

I agree that they'll be hard to topple at home, they'll start favourite in most of the games at Metricon bar Port, Sydney and maybe Freo. Will also be interesting to see how much more improved guys like Prestia, Swallow and Bennell will be. You know what type of genius you'll get from Gary but the young ones will have to step up for GC to take the next step. If the young talls stand up they should be fine.

I think both the Crows and West Coast are in the position where they can belt the poor sides but they just don't have enough top end talent to beat the better sides. They both have some pretty gaping holes in their lists.

The Lord Humungus Seedsman to banish all from the field, take all the petrol, and unleash his smegma crazies upon an unsuspecting and defenceless competition.

But still he has the soul of a poet, and words we could all take something from.

Be still, my magpies of war. I understand your pain. We've all lost someone we love. But we do it my way! And **** Carlton...

Go all in on Freeman for the rising star (he's eligible, right?), ez munny.
im on @26. Dont mind tying money up for that long at those odds. He is into $14 atm

And the 2015 winner of the Brownlow is.... Dane Swan

Got a feeling Swanny will be huge for us this year.

well I've just turned 18 so I could start some betting and I'm pretty good at tipping so I'm sure that would translate into like a million dollars of winnings, give or take.

Always tough betting against Ablett!! if he falls to injuries then its wide open but if he doesnt is very hard to see him getting beaten. Best i the league by a mile. Picks up votes on his average days
