But that's just the point Vish - no serious consequences will ever be felt by the club. Unless you meant something like Keys having a stroke. There'd be more of us yelling at clouds if that happened.
This state is footy mad, and no one is going to stop being a fan of the Eagles even if the club does treat us with disdain while putting on a big smile when they're out "engaging with the community" - which the club actually does fairly well.
At a bare minimum, you'd hope they actually considered the adverse impact on fans by having some kind of a cost/benefit discussion instead of simply ignoring the issue.
If I were in some kind of management position at the club I'd advocate that the club send emails to members explaining these kinds of decisions. How hard could that possibly be? Twitter has too much of an informal vibe to convey true respect.
That in itself would be an aspect of fan engagement and would go a long way to mitigating the negativity, not the mention the perception that the club is arrogant.
