Horrible news with Rioli but we must continue to find better alternative to Hill,Lecras,Cripps and make them accountable.

Who else do we have for a crumber. Yeo maybe moved forward now that the midfield is running deep. Partington if he had bulked up a bit possibly.

And dare I say the word but until Rioli can get back to fitness maybe we can pull Masten into a forward crumbling role permanently. He's done as a midfielder but he's ground skills and experience could be of use in a forward pocket. Has that ever been tried.

I think he'd be great in the forward pocket...as long as it's for East Perth

I really hope we don't play Yeo forward, simply because I don't think my heart could stand it if he took a mark 15m from goal, tried to play on and got tackled again. It'd be a health issue for me.

As if any of them know yet ... Grade 3 is 3-6 months.

http://physioworks.com.au/injuries-conditions-1/hamstring-strains-amp-injuries

Grade 3 Hamstring Strain
A grade 3 hamstring strain is a severe injury involving a tear to half or all of the hamstring muscle. You may need crutches to walk and will feel severe pain and weakness in the muscle. Swelling will be noticeable immediately and bruising will usually appear within 24 hours.

Diagnostic MRI may also be used to specifically identify the grade of hamstring tear and its exact location.

he wouldn't be dancing around or doing any sort of gym work straight away if the above was the case.

You sure he's gone in for surgery? Article posted on the Eagles site said they would decide on a course of action during the week.
Thought I heard on the radio that he went in yesterday but the eagles website does say otherwise. 6pr could have just been getting their info from Hackdorn I guess.

He's already gone in for surgery though I think which would indicate it's on the severe side of things I imagine.
Not from what I've heard - From my understanding the Club/Medicos are still throwing things around in their heads and getting advice and if they do decide surgery is the best plan then I've heard it won't be until Tuesday? Unless things have changed over the last few hours!

Oh man, the Rioli news has absolutely ruined my weekend.

:(
F****** same.

Wife gets home after a hens night last night a bit tipsy and frisky but thinks I'm pissed with her. Pffft. Please.

Her: What's wrong, you pissed that I'm home late?
Me: What? You're home late? I didn't notice.
Her: (raised eyebrow and incredulous look) Then what's up?
Me: I've just heard the worst news.
Her: (looking a bit concerned) what's wrong babe?
Me: F****** Willie Rioli's ripped his bloody f****** useless hammy and he's only a rookie but he was really going to give our forward line a real different dimension you know? This is the end of the f****** world.
Her: Who???
Me: That's it, you're sleeping on the couch!
Her: Whatever idiot. You've just totally killed my mood.
Me: I have a headache anyway.

You don't have to punish Willie just because Rioli got injured. A typsy and frisky missuz is something that should be nurtured and encouraged and cared for as much as possible (for 2 minutes). Gotta learn to compartmentalise man.

I imagine it went more like this.

Her: Babe, I'm home! I'm in the mood for some fu-un...
Me: Not interested. Begone!
Her: Huh? What's wrong?
Me: Nuffin'
Her: Bae, you can tell me...
Me: Willie's broke.
Her: Oh, I...uh...
Me: They reckon it'll take twelve weeks for him to be back with full mobility.
Her: That's nothing to be ashamed of, it happens to the best of men.
Me: SpaceClef?
Her: Nah he's a twat. Off to Alphy's. K thx bye.
