So let me get this right.
Lecca destroys oposition defenders the next year's it's hoped he fixes our midfield - failed
Darling destroys defenders and the next year we try him in the middle - failed
Now we are gonna try McGovern in the middle!! Here's a thought, recruit a **** g midfielder!! SPP was there for the taking.

That article was written incorrectly and people took it at face value. It basically says that he was played in the ruck.

BTW Lecras had a few good years in the middle.
Darling probably not so much but they could still use him as a high half forward at times.

Lecca was ok in the middle. But wasted there. You don't move a player that can kick 12 goals in a game AWAY FROM goals

he kicked 45 goals and averaged like 19 possessions in 2015. sure he could have kicked a bit more but one reason our midfield was strong that year was because him and the added depth.

They said Gov played on the ball, which is technically correct for ruckmen, though as you said, a little misleading to the cursory reader.

Darling wasn't really tried significantly (ie > 30% of game time) in the middle for much more than a handful of games in 2014 IIRC...it was a bit of a meme on here to "move Darling to the midfield".

I think he is most valuable on the half forward line, roaming up the wing during quick transitions from defence - can take a strong mark (unless it's a final :p ) and I want to see more of those Polly-type 30m handballs.

Venables is a midfielder. We also picked up some guy named Mitchell from the Hawks for a packet of chips. I heard he's pretty good, won some medal named the Brownlow or something..............

Confirmed that Nelson is a complete carnt and throws punches at training

Admits there will be competition for spots and hard to keep a place but he expects to play. Wants to kick more goals as hes been yeh nah seriously lacking a bit lots in that area for a bit long now yeh, doesnt want to be stuck out on a wing

Did have a laugh at Troy's comment, but geez made me also think about these blokes and how they'd have to have a pretty thick skin and decent egos. They may stay away from BF (if they're smart) but not uncommon for them to have a squiz at the video to see how they performed, only to be met by the Troy's of the world. Can you imagine many other profession where the punters were incessantly allowed to abuse you for your work performance in public (politicians I guess). Workers Compo would be through the roof.

Edit: Have we finally located Go Eagles???? No wonder he's been quiet, moved to an Asian country and probably working as a shaman.
