I for one can't remember the last pre-season I was this excited about the new recruits and felt such optimism.

I heard keys wants to build a (fire)wall, to keep those damn norf supporters out. he even said he'd make them pay. I like it.
Don't need much of a wall to keep norths five supporters out

Freo supporters on the other hand......

Two positives for me from this -

Firstly they're looking to add a bit more size to his frame so he can compete inside a bit more and secondly that he wants to hit the scoreboard more.

Two weaknesses of our midfield are the lack of numbers that can contribute inside and outside (too many one dimensional mids) and the collective lack of goals from the midfield group.

Sounds like those issues are being addressed

Claremont. New England Patriots.
Only if I get to grab random models by the pussy
Clinton made that mandatory and the Secret Service were henceforth entrusted to find and screen suitable pussy to grab.
( So not quite sure of the random bit )..... but wouldn't that be a terrific job to ensure that the sizing was a match.

Sadly the Secret Service are finding recruiting a lot more difficult now that the "Pucker Lipped Orange Cock Head" is White House bound.

Donald Duck doesn't quite have the same allure for a woman as was the BBC that just departed the residence.

I know I responded to this earlier but he also did the end of session runs (longer jog rather than sprints today) so did the full session and trained well

He hasn't changed much - looks fit but hasn't put on any size. Is neat enough on the drills without being a standout

Mackenzie working hard and showing all the signs of someone wanting his spot back.

Duggan is growing in prominence and his confidence is building nicely. Missed his session with Mitchell today (Mitch left a bit earlier again) but he was having a good discussion with Luke Webster (I think) at the end of the session going through some things. Looks to me like they're putting a bit of work into him this off season

North, so he's coming around

Jokes aside he's putting in big time at training. Working hard to present and doing well at demanding the ball in drills

One of the fittest players in the group as well. Good signs from him

campaigner

He's not super tall but like Shep appears like he can play above his height. Has good reach with his arms

He's improving steadily. The drill I took the photo from he was doing in a pair with mutimer and was awarded points by hickmott if they gathered a crumb cleanly and then kicked to a leading forward (Petrie). Points were deducted if they fumbled, took too many steps or missed the target. It was a competition of sorts against yeo and masten with each pair taking turns

The young guys won
great work K much appreciated ..

with no NN we need to have a collective effort from our mids to push top 4. we just can't rely on a few inside mids to win it in the clinches and we will need a handful of guys to go in and win their own ball. We got capitulated in that last final cause we only had 3 guys doing it against one of the best contested sides. Its good to see Gaff working on his inside game but i think masten is the one that needs to be spending time on his contested work. Like it or not he will be b22 or around it and i would rather see him lose a bit of his endurance in order to add to muscle. Im on the fence regarding masto, his deficiency are a liability at times but having quality ball users is a must as well.

Shuey, gaff, priddis and Mitchell are the only locks for midfield spots

Players like masten, sheed, redden, Jetta, Duggan, Hutchings, yeo, karpany and possibly partington are going to be competing for the remaining spots.

Masten and sheed are arguably ahead of the others but I think the fact we consistently failed to spread the load will mean spots won't be guaranteed. At least I hope not

Keys hows sheed going this preseason. Is his muscle gain noticeable and hows his attitude? The only photo i saw of his this year was him barking some instructions to the squad and based off that photo it seems that he seems to be respected member of the squad.

Keys how would you compare the work rate of Priddis v Le Cras ?
To me Priddis does everything to improve while Lecca looks like he is treading water.
I might even ask Simpson this question tomorrow at training

He's not noticeably bigger no and he's a bit behind the leading mids when it comes to endurance. I also find him one of the harder guys to spot in drills so I haven't noticed him as much as some others

I'll try and follow him a bit tomorrow and get a couple of stalker snaps for you

Yeah 100%
Good News is that there's a few names on that second list that had a stinker and need show improvement. If they all show improve/return to form then the general depth of the midfield would be pretty healthy and we won't have to be heavily reliant on our top tier mids.

I personally would love duggan in mastens spot as he is a great ball user but also hunts the footy with ferociously. It's a good spot for him to be playing as he could eventually move into a permanent midfield role as his body develops.

That's a fair assessment of the two

Priddis pushes himself always whilst lecca looks like he has a bit more to give. Lecras isn't in full training mode though so that might be a little unfair and he doesn't need the same tank that priddis does
