The thing I’ll be looking for is a glorious win or two against top 4 teams

We have some real talent on our list now

Too many years of scraping narrow wins against fellow mid table teams, on a good day

Don’t care if we are inconsistent, but I wanna see some brilliance, some real glimmers of a future

Yep being able to play good patches of footy (even win a game or 2) against good opposition will show us that we are tracking in the right directions. Being able to beat our lot but uncompetitive against the best sides will have me start to question whether the game plan/ style is ever going to make it under this coaching staff

It would seem both Sharp and Roberts have gone ahead of him in the midfield rotation.

He only played a half in the match sim. So maybe has a niggle

I would rather see Sharp and Roberts in the midfield.

I think we can expect to see Tsatas open the season in the VFL.

That’s a bit rough.

McGrath has tiny little feet and can’t always kick drop punts. But he is very disciplined and fights hard.

Perkins has been good. Couple of clearances and some good work around the ground.

Couple of marks leading up for Jones. Has looked okay.

Cox. It is hard to tell if it is confidence or he just doesn’t compete. Maybe both. Has had more touches this week but has had a couple of real hospital handballs in amongst them.
Runs a good wing line and holds his width but lacks urgency to really work to space when we win it in the back half. He just seems happy to jog back up his wing and let someone else make the play.
Only time he really competes is when he has a chance to mark it in the forward half.

Perkins was good all game. Won a lot of the football. Second efforts good. Still lacks the ability to transition quickly to defensive mode. Clearance work was good enough for Port to work on blocking him in the second half.

Jones played a half. Took 3 or 4 marks but was hard to get a real gauge as the forward delivery was poor.

Cox. Same as above. Runs to positions where he doesn’t have to compete. Offers nothing as an outlet player.
