Jamie Elliott kicked 60 goals last year and has trained house down all pre season

Is he not eligible for Victoria? Or selection has no idea?

After the Josh Fraser PCL in the last state game, glad he is not playing though
So why ask the question

While I agree it's far too early to tell if any of the new recruits are up to it, I disagree there is a problem for us if he debuts.

While late picks are much less likely to make it the ones who turn out good almost all play early.

If Saxena has the x factor to be a very good player, he will play season one. Look at Harvey Thomas or Darcy Jones at GWS, look at Bobby, look at Ginnivan. Not high picks, small guys, all play early
While Saxena wasn't a #6 National Draft pick, similarly, Jaidyn Stephenson was built like a milk arrowroot and made a mark in is debut season.
Will Hayes, Charlie West, Tew Jiath, Nick Daicos, Jakob Ryan, Beau McCreery, Isaac Quaynor, Josh Daicos, Jordan De Goey, Darcy Moore, Brayden Maynard, Steele Sidebottom, Scott Pendlebury are our last currently listed National draftees to debut in their first season (13*).
*Unless I've missed one

Just a quick one, most of those dudes mentioned above are national draftees, how many of those mentioned above where 18 year olds off the rookie list, Jack maybe? Saxena has 4 2025 national draftees ahead of him plus a number of forwards with multiple preseasons under their belt.

Guys, you are still trying to replace 'Hill', It can't be done!

Was a very mischievously worded release by Edmond to make people think he was going on leave now
And just the little side note in small print about Chris Scott still being on a break & not due back until closer to the season opener..

Should definitely allow Beau to have significantly more midfield time
I've already put HHH down for 30+ goals this season, no pressure.

I can't see Skunk being forced out of the tall forward mix on application alone, I reckon he's from the Jeremy Howe / Jamie Elliott / Scott Emblebury school of application.

Simlarly, Dan McStay is only an injury free run away set to prove doubters wrong. Go back to the Easter round match against the eventual Premiers at the Gabbatoir to see how important he is to our forward structure.

Charlie West, Oscar Steene, Jack Buller, Noah Howes competitively vying for a spot as the third can only be healthy. I look forward to readin te track reports on their progress.

If we're really lucky, the pecking order of our KPFs will matter, but I'm just hoping we've got 3 of Buller, McStay, Membrey and West fit most weeks.
