LOL.

So Coffield, who has never played a game is on par with an AA, who was regarded in the top 5 players in the league and nearly won us a grand final?!
PM me, I need some of the shit you’re smoking stat.
You cats cant handle the truth that Marching is bringing. There will be no "nearly" with Coffield.

I'll grab a Q tho if available.

All depends on injuries for us.

Already faz and elliot and our true elite mover is 34 or 35.

Saying that we have a favorable draw. I think we'll make the 8
Was interesting to read a day or two ago that you guys won 8 of the 10 games that Wells played last year. Which means you won only 1 of the 12 he didn't play!

He seems a bit like Delidio was for Richmond when he was there and just makes a massive difference, with his speed, composure and pinpoint kicking.

If- and it's a mighty big "if"- he stays on the park for 18+ games you guys could be a much better team and be right in the finals hunt. If he plays say 10 or less again tho it will really hurt those chances.

We really need to get ourselves a Wells/Delidio type ASAP. Maybe Defacto's boy Ian Hill in next year's draft, if available.

Far from ideal that Fasolo and Elliott are out injured for extended periods of the preseason tho. If Moore does in fact play down back they are your only obvious scoring threats and you need them at their very best.

Coffield is way quicker than BJ, but other than that, Coff could play very similar roles to what BJ played, particularly across HB, on the wing, and if in the middle, being the one those who win first possession look to feed it to just off the back of the pack, so he can be the one to deliver it forward by foot.

Like BJ, I don't see him doing much extracting if he's playing in the guts.

Won the flag without him though.

The Magpies have a very good midfield with the likes of Treloar, Pendlebury , Sidebottom , Adams , De Goey and Wells.
Wells is actually a very good player , however he battles to stay on the park / however there problem is they don't have a forward line and back line is not that good as well. If they can get a focal point up forward they will be a force , but with Elliott always hurt and Fasolo out as well for a while it doesn't look good for them again and Moore looks like a 2nd tall in the forward line not the main target.

We have this team covered.

But explosion or not, I will be happy if we stand up for ourselves and take absolutely zero shit on the field. The likes of pubeless Carlton wimps need to be dispatched and ruthlessly.

I hope the coaches are encouraging we bring the mongrel.

Bring in Stevie Baker as PT aggression coach I think. Just as long as Richo can teach him the difference between a Saint and a Collingwood player -- F F S. Don't let him near Goddard if we reach the Granny.

To me Moore is like a younger version of Membrey in that he’s not big enough to be a full forward but he is a handy 2nd or 3rd tall running around on the forward line . With their lack of forwards it astounds me that they are thinking about playing him in the backline . As far as I know that leaves that big American on his own with only smalls around him . I don’t understand why they drafted another mid when their midfield is already the strongest part of their team . Surely they should at drafted a key back or even the big forward / ruck kid who’s name I have forgotten but he ended up sliding down quite far in the draft .

We give our recruiters a hard time , thank god we don’t have Collingwood ‘s recruitment team . They could have recruited a young gun center half back so they could leave Moore up forward. There were also some good forwards they could have recruited instead of another mid.

Can’t wait for 2018 season.

Is there another Moore at Collingwood because Darcy Moore is 199 cm's and 95kg's.

But your other point is right - Moore's major problem is the Collingwood selectors. Expecting raw 20 yo to be your main (and only key forward) is nonsensical.

Just a query
I believe battle will make it and looks like a natural forward
Does anyone think we can field a side with Mc cartin , Bruce, membery & battle. If so , how would it be structured? It's a good problem to have I guess . Could we offload one of them at seasons end ?
A good forward is worth a fortune on the trade table.

Members is a a pretty adaptable type who can run around the field so doesn't necessarily have to play as a KPF. He's about the same size as SebRoss too rather than a lumbering 198 cm beast. Battle is a similar type of mobile running mid sizer and could play back even if needed.

I wouldn’t think we’d play them all at once. Our forward pressure would suffer with so many tall targets. I would only think about offloading after we’ve seen how they play in 2018.

Battle does look like he could be a good player.

As long as we don't implode, I'll be happy just to continue to improve - we have some great young players and our window could be open for quite some time...
Im hearing ya. Dont care where we finish as long as a couple of stars finally rise as im getting tired waiting.
