Hey guys, I'm hoping for Pre-Season to be run in December. Think Peterss is happy and keen to run it, but if not I'll try get onto it. Up to him whether we have 2 pools of 4 teams or we go a knock-out with official challenge matches for teams already out, but once the pre-season starts I do not want any more "friendlies" taking place with SFA teams unless they're within a clubs team threads against bot teams.

Just an update for you all.
Also no more changing clubs.

doggies - I would still like to run it but my Sim doesnt seem to want to work on my computer anymore....I have tried re-downloading it and still no luck!....So may have to hand the reigns back over to you.

I think 2 groups of 4 would be the best way.....Perhaps play each team in your group twice (one at home once away) then the top 2 from each group play in the semi's with 1st from Group A playing 2nd in Group B etc....Then the two winners into the GF :)

Possible Fixture: Teams seperated into two groups, and in legs 1, 2 and 3, two of each match can be played in reverse so that teams can play once at home and once away as you stated. Dates are obviously changeable to suit you and this is just a rough thing I typed up to see if you were interested in this format.

Group A
Southern Dragons
Mount Buller Demons
Roys FC
Fighting Furies

Group B
Baghdad Bombers
Geelong gumbies
west coast wonders
East Side Hawks

Leg 1 (Between 1st and 5th)
Group A
Dragons Vs. Demons
Roys Vs. Furies

Group B
Wonders Vs. Gumbies
Bombers Vs. Hawks

Leg 2 (Between 6th and 11th)
Group A
Roys Vs. Demons
Furies Vs. Dragons

Group B
Gumbies Vs. Bombers
Hawks Vs. Wonders

Leg 3 (Between 12th and 16th)
Group A
Dragons Vs. Roys
Demons Vs. Furies

Group B
Hawks Vs. Gumbies
Bombers Vs. Wonders

Preliminary Leg (18th December)
*One match, played at the Group winner's home venue.

Winner of Group A Vs. 2nd Group B
Winner of Group B Vs. 2nd Group A

Grand Final (23rd December)
Winners of both preliminaries at neutral venue.

It's not the world cup. How about we have 2 groups of 4, play each team once and the two highest placed teams go to a grandfinal?

I was just using Peterrs' format for the fixture. It can still be used with this format, if you wanted to use it.

Group A
Southern Dragons
Mount Buller Demons
Roys FC
Fighting Furies

Group B
Baghdad Bombers
Geelong gumbies
west coast wonders
East Side Hawks

Leg 1 (Between 1st and 5th)
Group A
Dragons Vs. Demons
Roys Vs. Furies

Group B
Wonders Vs. Gumbies
Bombers Vs. Hawks

Leg 2 (Between 6th and 11th)
Group A
Roys Vs. Demons
Furies Vs. Dragons

Group B
Gumbies Vs. Bombers
Hawks Vs. Wonders

Leg 3 (Between 12th and 16th)
Group A
Dragons Vs. Roys
Demons Vs. Furies

Group B
Hawks Vs. Gumbies
Bombers Vs. Wonders

Grand Final
1st ranked team of Group A Vs. 1st ranked team of Group B at neutral venue.

Just a simple winner plays on would be best i think
That could also be simple but effective. A 3 stage tournament.

Leg 1
(1)Demons Vs. Wonders
(2)Roys Vs. Gumbies
(3)Dragons Vs. Furies
(4)Hawks Vs. Bombers

Leg 2
(5)Winner of game 1 Vs. Winner of game 2
(6)Winner of game 3 Vs. Winner of game 4

Grand Final
Winner of game 5 Vs. Winner of game 6

A 3 week pre-season comp???? ...................gay

Surely there would have to be a summer season on top of this?
Or a combination of a pre-season summer season could be ideal (eg peterss idea) at least that will go for 12 - 13 weeks

Lets just go out of our way to make it as complicated as we can so nobody understands the system and it can then be exploited. :thumbsu:
