$5 is reasonable & all going to charity. Will need to keep the liquids up with heat! Is the game definitely starting at 5:30 (& 7:30)?? Strange they would move it forward half an hour with a 35 degree forecast.
It was always advertised at 5:30. Its only been the last couple of weeks that Victorian media were saying its at 6.

We need to settle this quick so I know what time to tell them my meeting starts so I can nick off home early, get changed and perch myself in a good viewing spot in the stand. :D

$5 is ok but anything more is ridiculous for a trial game. Should be a good night though, except for the heat!

You get to see two games and the money goes to Charity and to SANFL junior development. Would be happy to pay $10

However paying $18 for the Wixard Cup is a rip off and means I will probabyl go to the Redbacks next sunday instead.

I'm going with lozstar and her man, so if you want to see her you're stuck with me as well ;)

Anyone know if we're allowed on the ground at the quarter breaks? Somehow I doubt it but it would be good to know.

I just rang the club and the start time is definitely 6 pm for the Glenelg game.

I had it covered either way though, by having an early start to my "meeting". :D

you could proably watch the redbacks lose and still make it in time to the crows, the way the redbacks are going at the momment!

That was great! Well, except when Welshy injured himself ... :( Hopefully he'll be alright for next week.
When did that happen??????

I thought he was being taken off for a breather.

I know Stevens has pulled up with a sore knee and Reilly is one groggy fella after getting cleaned up.

It was in the last quarter, when he went to spoil someone. Afterwards he touched his right hamstring and then two trainers went out to him, and he came off. But, he looked okay when the boys were all walking off the ground at the end ... so, fingers crossed that he's alright. :)

I didn't know about Stevo ... poor guy :(

I saw him jog off in the 4th but I didn't see trainers going out. He looked OK when he went off.

He should be OK. Reilly and Stevo might be doubtful. Pitty as both of them were solid.

mark stevens or scott stevens? I watched Mark closely and saw him stretching a fair bit but I didn't think he hurt himself :(

well I have my fingers crossed he is alright!

I hope you're right about Welshy! :)

It's such a shame about Stevo, he looked pretty good and he took a couple of strong marks too.

Stevens’ encouraging return

Adelaide centre half-forward Mark Stevens survived his first competitive workout of the pre-season and kicked two goals against Glenelg in the early practice match at Norwood Oval on Friday night.

Stevens moved freely enough and was his usual aggressive self against spirited opposition from Glenelg centre half-back Paul Sherwood, last year’s full back for the SANFL state team.

Knee and rib injuries restricted Stevens, 28, to only eight AFL matches last season and the Crows want and need him available much more often this season. He will remain on a carefully managed training program to help ensure his right knee stays sound and he can front up each week.

With no need to rush his return, the Crows may well rest him from Sunday week’s Wizard Home Loans Cup opening-round match against St Kilda at AAMI Stadium.
.
A composite Adelaide team of squad and rookie-listed players, as well as some of Glenelg’s finest youngsters, lost to the SANFL Tigers by 38 points points – in uncomfortable, high-30s heat.

Adelaide started slowly but fought back with a 4.1 to 0.3 second quarter to lead by seven points at half-time. Glenelg then had the better of the third term, with Sudjai Cook kicking a nine-point goal, courtesy of a 50-metre penalty, and the Tigers kicked away in the last quarter in a performance that augurs well for their immediate future after several seasons near and at the bottom of the SANFL’s nine-team competition, including eighth last season.

Onballers Jacon Schuback, James Begley and Robert Shirley, wingman Michael Doughty and tall defender Luke Jericho were prominent for Adelaide, and Matthew Clarke, who has had a calf strain, got through the first half satisfactorily.

Fergus Watts, the Crows’ first draft pick at No. 14 last November, had a quiet first-up game on a half-forward flank after recovering from Achilles soreness.

This article doesn't say anything about him being sore. Where did you guys hear it?
