I'm convinced that he's going to surprise people - after the Age article, he will be seen in a poor light by some yanks and therefore under the radar.

But if the guard-centric chuckathon keep going, then its going to be a bustworthy year...

im thinking roung the 11pts 11boards 4 assistts

Redd and mo williams will not pass and score how they want.....with jianlian apparently guarenteed round 30 minutes a night hell want his shots to....

Bogut will just find himself too far down the pecking order

Isnt the new coach a big-man coach though? I get the feeling that Bogut will be seeing more plays run for him this year, and he should see a jump in his scoring.

For reference, his stats last season were:

12.3 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 3.0 apg, 0.5 bpg on 55.3% shooting. Pretty decent numbers for only his second year. Apart from blocks and FT% he improved across the board from his first year.

He's had an impressive start to the season, having taken a quantum leap defensively from all reports. He's averaging 1.8 blocks per game in the first 8, with single game tallies of 5, 4 and 4 in three of those.

He did play well against the Hawks and the bucks really need him to.

Yeah, his statline of 21pts, 10rebs, 4blocks, 3steals was pretty huge, and the game before he had 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks against the Grizzlies.

Hopefully he's coming out of his shell and will start to impose himself more on the game this season.

he's always had the ability, he is a monster and works hard in everything he does. Will never be an All star with Dwight Howard in the way but i think he's going to be a good center throughout his career. This year it seems his coach trusts in him and he is starting to get the responsibility he has been craving

Holy sticky underpants batman, this geezer is going off in 2008!

Pity the rest of his team are spuds.

Last 10 games he has gone 16 PPG and 10 RPP and over the last 5 games he has produced almost 20 PPG and 11 RPP.

And he's actually getting a few assists as well. Very impressive against the Suns.

He had 20 points up til the start of the 4th on 8 of 11 fg's

He had 1 shot in the final qtr, which happened in junk time.

Redd and Mo were something like 1/11 in the final term. Coach has to show some leadership and call out Redd for his sucky play in final quarters. Also if this team is to be successful they must trade either Mo or Redd because, Bogut just doesnt get enough shots.

Nothing to do with this thread - but this made me laugh:

I know what you are saying but the Bucks would have far greater opportunities to trade Andrew Bogut because of his salary.

Mo Williams is getting something like $9,000,000 a year for 6 years and Michael Redd is getting something like $15,000,000 (I am not sure if they are correct but they are both on huge money) and this would decreased the trade options.

The Bucks should try and trade Bogut and Charlie Bell for a strong small forward who can help Yi out and a veteran point guard who can show leadership of the bench.

I may be wrong but I doubt the Bucks would get much interest in Redd or Williams with their large salary.

Which is their problem - with the chucking backcourt with no defence, they will never progress being the "richmond" of the nba.

Yeah, that was pretty outrageous (at least watching the box score) that Bogut wasn't getting any looks in the last quarter, when he had lead them to a comfortable lead in the first three. I was beginning to think that things were changing around Milwaukee.

IMO this team would have more success building around Yi and Bogut rather than Redd and Mo.

Basketball is a big mans sport and there haven't been to many successful teams built purely around guards. I believe they can keep 1 of the 2 chuckers preferably Mo as he seems to be able to co-exist with the talls better than Redd. I also beleve they should try to move CV as his value is slipping as his minutes continue to decrease.

Mo's contract isn't that hard to move as hes realivtively young and is growing a solid reputation as a good scorer. REdd's is a little harder to move but i believe they may be able to get a veteran point guard with good defence or a solid young sf, who can grow with Yi and Bogut
