This year was adelaides now or never year.
Bickley gone, smart gone, Hart will battle with age, as will Carey and Burns. Age putting holes in most areas of the ground for adelaide.

Fremantle are not losing anyone due to age, only gaining experience, and a bit more bulk into their young limbs. So I'd like to hear your theory on why they will finish bottom four.

Actually, if you cared to check the facts, Adelaide will lose only 1 player to retirement. Bickley.

Injuries had more of an impact on Adelaide this year than last. If Adelaide avoid that higher rate of injury, and have a year more like 2002 in regard to injuries, then a top 4 finish is well within reach.

Not that Freo will do bad, it is just that "Adelaide to slide" predictions are so very, very ho hum. "Adelaide to slide down the ladder & miss the 8" has been a consistent call for 2 or 3 years now, yet Adelaide keep making the 8 and making fools of their critics.

You'd think people would learn.

Thats not to sat the doggies or blues will not get better.

But only brisbane will decide if they are premiers or not.

I think North will be something like the North of old:

1. Brisbane/ Fitzroy.
2. Essendon.
3. North Melbourne.
4. Fremantle.
5. Collingwood (will slowly slide, Buckley to retire end of 04)
6. Sydney.
7. St Kilda.
8. Port Adelaide.

10. Hawthorn <<<, another wasted season.
11. Footscray.
12. Melbourne<<<<<<, will play in front of empty stadiums, probably merge with the Dogs if their not careful.
13. Geelong
14. West Coast.
15. Richmond.
16. Carlton. Denis Pagan to quit after copping another belting from North, Round 3, 2004.

Kangaroos bottom of the ladder?? we played good football and finished 10th.... if we get jade rawlings, shane harvey and mckernan during the trading period we will be a way better side!!!!!

Like any other club, if you get half decent players in the trading perios you probably had to give away half decent players to get them. Hawthorn isn't going to trade Rawlings for a carton of udl's.
 
Now that the draw for 2004 is out, my top 8 is

1. Collingwood-very favourable draw, also helped them to 2nd this year
2. Brisbane-still an awesome team
3. Port Adelaide-but will fail in finals again
4. Adelaide-consistent team effort
5. Sydney-will drop as won't beat Brisbane twice in 2004, played as well as they could in 2003
6. Essendon-favourable draw
7. Hawthorn-only due to favourable draw
8. West Coast-problem is still their away record, cannot afford to drop home games

Best of others-Freo and St Kilda
