I just wonder when - if ever - we will next see a game with a 300 point or more scoring aggregate.

Over 21 years have gone by since the last one - a 24.12-156 to 22.13-145 win by North Melbourne over the Bulldogs - at the Docklands in June 2003, just the third time there had been a 300 point plus aggregate game from 2000 onwards.

Back in the 2000s and into the early 2010s we would commonly see higher scoring games played at the Docklands Stadium for the obvious reason that the roof kept out the elements. But paradoxically from the mid 2010s as scoring levels already much lower than even a decade earlier dried up even more, we would more frequently see more lower scoring, poor standard games at the Docklands, a trend that continues to the present day.
