Predictions against the Saints.

Based on the Port match we have no chance, but we all know form can be fleeting, and teams often bounce back quickly when their pride has been damaged.

I think we can win this one. Teams that win the Wizard Cup traditionally have a flat spell early in the Home and Away rounds, and they've been our bitch for years.

I just have a feeling the boys can get over the line here.

Well, I normally I save pessimistic stats such as these in BT to stir the fruit cakes up. But, the last time we got a raping like last weekend was in 99, also the same year and last time the saints beat us.

Though we played them once that year, this year we play them twice. So if we lose saturday, we WILL lose the next time we play them. Cuase I'm always right, even when I'm wrong.

So I think history will repeat (apart from the margin) and we will lose by 35 points.

Will be a crap game too.

Essendon who I hate when you play us but I admire you as a club and you've been a top team for a long time and I am sure you will bounce back and teach the young st kilda team a football lesson.

Yeah it will be good to see Ess come back after that 96 point flogging,but the Sainters arnt looking to bad,although they might be to big headed about winning the wizard cup and rd 1...
I do think it'll be a tough one,but yep hopefully we can play some real football in rd 2.

I really dunno what is gonna happen saturday night but if we put in a EFFORT when can win this ,we still have a dangerous side and if our backline can slot in nice the saints will have a tough time...only worry is there midfield..

Do u guys think the saints could be intimidated if we played hard and knocked them around (legally)?

they dont have many strong players apart from sammy hamil,gehrig isnt really tough but fairly strong...

If murph and ramma can give lloyd good disposal inside 50 then we'll win it i think

Initially I thoguht saints by 8 goals, now I am thinking 5 goals. If we can actually play some decent footy the saints will get the wabbles and we will smash em. Thats the biggest if though.

Come on guys, I support the Saints, and I do believe we'll win, but I think the margin to be closer to three goals.

I have predicted that Essendon will finish top of the ladder. I haven't changed my mind on that - I think Essendon are the best team this year, but while the Saints are hot and on a roll they might get you.

The players that you are missing would knock any team for a six, we lost two defenders last year and didn't win a game till we got them back. You have more depth than us, but we are definitely getting better. We are one player shy of our absolute best team - so if we can't beat you then we will struggle when the big games come round.

The year St Kilda lost the grand final (1997), the Saints lost the first five rounds and ended up as the minor premiers.

Don't give up just yet.

As a Tiger who loves putting the boot into you(Essendon) at times,
I just want to say what a champ Hird is and loves his club through and through.
Wanted West Coast to win but after that performance,I was humbled by Hird's brilliance-Footy won tonight.
