To all geelong supporters, get every single soul you know to ring this number

9344 0777 (channel seven)

and complain about the delayed telecast they are planning to show of collingwood and geelong in perth, if easties wanna join in please do..hopefully they dont have caller id :p

Time to get rid of this attitude that if its not freo or weagles playing its not worth showing, its a bloody preliminary final with a full house at the gee..any football supporter worth his salt would be wanting to watch this game.

For every caller, rooke will be laying a gut busting tackle, wodji will have a 100m sprint down the wing and gazza will be giving dont argues left right and centre on friday night...NOW THATS ENTERTAINMENT

it is also delayed in Victoria as well. The game starts 7.50pm and the telecast starts 8pm which probably means the actual game wont commence until 8.30pm on TV.

I read somewhere, heraldsun maybe? on sunday that said if its a sellout it might be live in vic. hopefully this is the case for those that cant make it.

haven't interstate viewers been robbed all season of viewing geelong live when they weren't playing vs someone from that state. the TV arrangement was ridiculous all season, I dont think channel 7 know the meaning of the word live as I can barely remember any matches they showed all year that were live even in vic. (perhaps a friday night match played in perth or adelaide was?)

It just seems to be life for people that barrack for Victorian teams who live interstate!

The AFL agreement that means all Port and Adelaide games are to be showed free to air in South Australia is a joke as it means that I've effectively got FOXTEL to watch Brisbane and West Coast games only. At least four times this year I've missed out on watching a Collingwood game because Channel 10 have picked up the FOXTEL feed and showed that free to air while FOXTEL is running the same game at the same time. Meanwhile I have to get online and listen to 3AW or 3MMM Melbourne to listen to the game as all South Australian radio stations all have to broadcast the local teams. And everyone over here bleats about it being a "National game" when something doesn't go their way. How many Victorian footy fans can say they see their team every week on free to air tv? That's right - NONE! The idiots over here don't realise how good they've got it!

As for the game being delayed on Friday - I don't mind that much as I'll just turn the phone off and stay up a bit later, I'd rather the game be finished at 10.30-11.00pm than 9.30pm because it's Friday, and I like going to bed later at the end of the week.

Yeah, but we can't really complain after the way the Cats went in 06. I'm now looking forward to the coverage we'll get next year. :thumbsu:

I'll be listening to afl.com.au, and watching real footy stats site while the game is on, and then watch the game once it comes on tv. It helps to know a bit ahead of time whether to be in a cranky mood, or relaxed mood.

That's what I do here in Melb anyway - since it is always delayed here. "Live" telecasts is true of Foxtel games - Ch 7 and 10 should call them "Lie" telecasts!
