Game Day Preliminary Final: Port Adelaide vs Richmond

Spot on. I was upset after that Hawks game but walked away thinking we will be around the mark for the next couple years at least. I couldn't have been more wrong. Nothing is certain, so we need to make tonight and next week count.

I think this is a little bit different. In 2014 we played a game style that wasn't really sustainable, only to completely go away from it cold turkey in 2015. How we play the game now stacks up with the best whereas in 2014 teams still had our measure.

I think I want to win this more than 2014.

Even though we had a squad I preferred (mostly Schulz), I think we all took for granted how long it would be again before another one. It was a bit of a nothing to lose mindset. It was an ah well, can't wait til we go again next year.

Not tonight. There's no next year tonight. There's is no tomorrow if we don't get it done.

We have everything to lose.
We have everything to win.

Please Ports. Win. Tonight, there is no honour in defeat.
2014 felt like a fluke, this season it feels like we will deserve it.

Lol the room in which you currently reside is much tidier than mine, as is your stubble.

Well to you it might be stubble.

To me it's I left my razor at mums two weeks ago and this is about as much as it grows.

...

Any random point of conversation I can think of to ease my mind about the footy.

That's all well and good Macca but I'm more interested in the poo count.

Zero.

Im concerned its all gonna crescendo at the ground and ill miss the first half

That lazy #VICBIAS sh*t really irritates me. We have 5 playing tonight who didn't play in this game either. And none of them are mugs.

Looking at those stats, they would have to have a massive influence to even that up.

Rocky is assuming Hulk proportions with each shower of rain.

is anyone else confused that it’s AFL prelim day and Bathurst qualifying?

I know this has been a messed up year, but I’m seriously confused.

Doesn't fill me with confidence...

We've seemingly gone from wet weather specialists to recently having issues picking up the ball even when mostly dry - we've been oddly fumbly this year.

Anyway, hope it stays away!
Even if the rain holds off, it's been drizzling all day so it'll undoubtedly be very slippery conditions.

mmmmm........ yes n no.

You pose "how we play the game now" as more reliable/dependable but is it really? From where I sit it's a hardery for longery now played by better players

under different/better coaches. Ken's imprimatur of gut busting defensive pressure is still a thing and hey whilst it's got us where we are today :D

and I for one aint complaining, there's a part of me that wants to see a gameplan built on system as opposed to effort. An ignoramus such as myself has probably

got it all wrong..... just musing on alternative realities. An ugly hard fought flag built on manic effort will be just tickerty boo by me.
