You just weren't good enough.

That's true. We knew going in that a prelim at Subi against West Coast was going to need a Herculean effort, especially when it comes to 50/50 umpiring decisions likely to go the other way. We need to be able to overcome all the hurdles. Or else earn a home prelim.

Sure West Coast played some reasonable football..but it was patently clear from the second quarter onwards, the Eagles got every line-ball decision..they were "assisted" in getting back into the game and it was all down hill from then..haven't seen such an amateurish, biased, embarrassing level of senior AFL umpiring in a long, long time. Extremely disappointing to see such a debacle at this time of the year when the stakes are so high..the unpaid, blatant trip in the forward zone in the last quarter was a perfect illustration of the incompetence you'd expect to see at NRL level... Yes The North forwards could have kicked straighter..but when you have such biased umpiring it destroys any momentum or "build"... a pretty decent effort to go from 8th to this..just a shame you weren't given a fair go.. an awful way to finish a season...being beaten fair & square hurts less than being robbed..and North were robbed big-time by the Lime Spiders...

Bit rich coming from a hawks supporter.Umpiring tonight was poor but the umpiring was far worse last night in the freo hawks match...
On a par I reckon. Freo were reamed last night, North tonight. Next week they'll put the whistle away and pretend everything's hunky dorey.

The timing of those 2 free kicks were horrific for us, we are in an arm wrestle against these guys and they are gifted 12 precious points right in front of goals, if the exact same thing had gone the other way it almost would have been game over. The thing that hurts most is that the umps changed the momentum of the game and not the Eagles, I wanted to see how close we could get with the umps staying out of it but now we will never know.

Sorry but there's no need to be sore losers about the result. WCE were winners fair and square. Whinging about the umpires doesn't help and they didn't influence the result.
We realise they were the better team, but you must be mentally handicapped to not see the howlers they paid at crucial times

Let's all agree, the umpiring wasn't fitting to the occasion tonight.

Like the Bermuda Triangle, Eagles ability to always win the free kick count is an utter mystery. 15-8 up despite Roos domination.

You're absolutely right. We definitely should not demand that the AFL Integrity Unit open up an investigation after we lose a final.

Tosspot, hypocrite.

All the commentators are saying North were lucky it wasn't a 10 goal loss...the umpires definitely made sure of it, no doubt. Sometimes you get the rub of the green sometimes you don't, did well to make a prelim from 8th

Margett's sister works at the West Coast Eagles, and their entire family are Eagles fans.

Just an FYI to further get your blood boiling.
