believe me im shattered. But i think the best 2 teams are in the Grand Final. Yes we had our chances.. waite just before 1/4 time to put us 26 points up... ben brown missed handball to higgins running into an open goal and missed him but on the flip side they missed alot of shots also. yeah im upset at some of the umpiring decisions but we could have put them away early and didnt. Well done Simmo on getting your chance to win a premiership with the eagles. I think the Hawks will win but u now have the chance to throw everything at them.

I think a lot of the howlers over the weekend were momentum changers.

Friday night, the one against Ballantine was a shocker and it swung momentum the Hawks way. Freo did plenty of other stuff to crucify themselves. Say hi Sheridan and Mayne

Saturday Night - the Shuey one for "high" contact was as soft as any free kick given this year. Kennedy got one or two dubious decisions. Just happens all the time for the Eagles.

Wtf??? 18 - 24 v 33 -12. 94 was a disgrace - tonight was normal interstate bias. They were better than us. 94 they robbed us.

Just saying last 10 games .....
West Coast. 236

Saints. 106

You actually did well the umpires never paid Stkilda 1 free in last 80 minutes a few weeks back
We laid 81 tackles and the report was West Coast were perfect no errors made .

Not just the decisions themselves, but the timing of them. Try to imagine how you felt when Shuey got that first free against NDS. How bout the Gibson non mark. Le Cras. Jacobs. Swallow. Then imagine how it would feel if you were on the ground, busting your gut at the time. It's farking soul sapping. And it eliminates the organic contest. Synthetic momentum. Can't do anything about it.

**** em all. Go the shinners. Can't wait for next year.
This.

A couple of bad decisions will happen over the course of the game, it always does (and always will) we can live with that, but anyone who's played at a decent level knows when the bias is so one sided its absolutely soul destroying, the feeling of helplessness is enormous.

You train and play through pain for 8 months of the year to fulfil a childhood dream of playing in a GF, yet you know it won't matter how hard you try the umps are going to pineapple you regardless.

Really felt for our boys as they had that same helpless feeling in front of 40000 imbecile WCE supporters who were 'high fiving' and laughing at every bad decision that gifted them a goal. Cruel.

PS: When that non tripping call against Jacobs happened Scott threw the phone at the glass window, they replayed it on the big screen and the WCE crowd boo'd him..

Truth hurts does it
No question, we ran out of legs in the second half and couldn't sustain the pressure that made you look anything but a premiership contender. West Coast has won the free kick count 55 times of the last 64 games they have played in Perth - so it's a systemic issue that has not been addressed and you know it's going to be bad but last night was appalling according to non-North supporters.
Will be interesting to see if any of those umpires officiate next week. If they do, you have a chance.

Pretty shit to get shafted in that way, blatant umpiring bias.

Complaining won't overturn the decision but the standard of umpiring in Perth this year is nothing short of farcical. Before last nights game, West Coast were +110 frees for this season. What does that say?

I lost it with the Darling free kick...Watched the game with a few mates and 10 minutes after the free had been paid, I was still asking them if they had any clue what the free was for

I usually don't like to blame the umps, but tonight's game was so horrendously umpired, I feel it's warranted. I can cope line-ball decision that could maybe be called a free, but the free kicks paid to Darling and Shuey were a joke

Should also be no excuses for not calling Jacobs' trip because he was pinged for holding the ball straight after, wasn't like the ump couldn't see him get tripped

Do I think we would've won had the correct decisions been made each time? Porbably not. WC were the better side and we weren't good enough in front of goal

You are completely right. The shuey one was right in front of me, I just couldn't believe what I was seeing. However.. there was about 6-7 before that which were just not called.. like at all. So while those two free kicks were a joke, they missed 5x, both ways. You guys were just unlucky the soft frees were called in front of goal I guess. The AFL needs to have a hard look at this shit .

I'm just so dissapointed. We ran out of legs in the end but the contraversial decisions were momentum sapping and horribly timed. Still don't understand why swallow on the mark got basically rko'd and they waved play on.

Absolutely gutted. Onwards and upwards. Smash the **** out of them hawthorn.

Umpiring did not cost us the game but by god it cost us a chance of winning the game. We may not have, maybe probably wouldn't have, but we will never know. It is nothing short of disgraceful which the afl should be embarassed by and should acknowledge by picking umpires next weekend that did not umpire this weekend.

People complain the game being too congested or low scoring is a concearn, the umpiring department is the biggest blight on our great game.

They ruined last night for me, was fun horrible. Don't think ill watch the game next week.

Yes, the Eagles got the rub of the green and yes, the home crowd may have played a part in that. But, they were also the better team on the night and throughout they year that outplayed us from the second quarter onwards, and I couldn't be any more prouder of the boys for the ticker they showed throughout this finals series.

To the Eagles fans, our gripe isn't with you or your team, it is with the laughable umpiring decisions and non-decisions that went on this entire finals series, that also benifitted us in a particular game (something our own posters shouldn't forget).

So please, calm down, show respect, and good luck in the Grand Final!

No bull shit. We got one that day.

I can just as easily point to the laughable goals Riewoldt and Edwards got that resulted in goals

North get more Frees than any other team this season pretty funny seeing north supporters blame umpires lol maybe It's all the whining from brad scott but North have been blessed with the free count all year so get over itView attachment 177978
Like I said, it's neutral supporters who couldn't believe the gift goals you got from frees that weren't there and ones that were missed for us. If you get another 4 goal gift umpiring advantage next week you have a chance.

No argument here mate, but we can't exactly take the moral high ground when we benifitted from equally shocking calls,

I'm not saying we don't have the right to be pissed off, because I was absolutely furious last night; what I'm saying is, that there is always two sides to a story and you will inevitably win some and inevitably lose some. No matter how inept or shocking the call is. Which is really unfortunate considering this is a professional sport.

They won't

Tiggies first 5 goals came from rubbish umpiring calls and 3 seconds prior to the missed HTB Jack had his face smashed in twice so Ben should never have even had the ball. Chances are they didn't pay it because they knew they should have paid our free before that.

Noones forgetting anything.

Yea we've had a game or two where we benefited from a couple of calls, but the tigers final was not one of them lol.

As a Bulldogs supporter who incidentally really dislikes the often patronizing attitude north fans have towArds us

The umpiring last night significantly significantly advantaged west coast

The umpires are just cowards - the parochial crowd clearly intimidates them in big games that they are incapable of not falling for the crowds demands and become fearful of the reaction they would get for making big calls against them

Whilst west coast were the dominant team in the second half - there were 4 horrible calls in the second half which either gave them goals or cost north goals

Absent these decisions / non decisions the game goes down to the wire
And it becomes too close to call

Honestly feel for you guys
Just a pissy way to end your season with that crap

Its not like it hard enough that you gotta go up against a good team like WC. Make no mistake their a good team. And you have to get up against the crowd aswell. But when you have to get up against the umpires aswell.. it makes it virtually imposible.. but north were playing out of their skins.
North supporters should be proud.
You guys had all the monentum. Then the gifted free kick goals to WC. The none calls to North. How can you win like that.
It happens so often. And so blatantly obvious how can it be called incompetence.. how long has razor been umpiring.
