I just received the DVD I ordered and have been watching it...

Did anyone actually enjoy this game?

I couldn't relax at all - until after the game.

Tense stuff.

It is one of the best games in years (from a football perspective and everything else that goes with it), but I couldn't enjoy it until that siren went.

Anyone else feel the same that night?

I was much more calm Grand Final week I think for some reason.

Exactly my feelings. i was tense all night during the game and even pre game.
grand final a much different story. i reckon my most tense feeling in the grand final wouldn't come close to my most relaxed feeling in the prelim.

fantastic game though. watched the replay a couple of times on FOX during grand final week.

better atmosphere than granny as well

Yep the atmosphere during the prelim was amazing! The GF is way to corporate these days.

We had a one hour delay in NSW. Imagine having to wait that long. It was hell.

My brother and I watched it at home, and had the house locked up & mobiles off, so no-one could text us updates or anything.

I was a mess during the game. I dunno what I would have done if we lost. Probably wouldn't be seen in public for a month or so :D.

"who's playing and who are we barracking for again?"
i felt sick to my stomach

i applaud your will power. on an hour delay on TV i reckon i would've flicked on the radio to hear score updates. i can't take not knowing a geelong score when i have access to it.

It surely was one of the best games I'd ever been too. The crowd never stopped roaring from start to finish.
Just the best atmosphere ever. After the game didn't know how to feel.Joy? Relief, it was weird but I knew we wouldn't be beaten in the granny.

Pathetic. Get the **** out if you don't care!!!

And what was with all the Eagles supporters too???

Anyway, I had a plan if we lost to Collingwood I was going to get out of Melbourne and head down the Great Ocean Rd. Not even watch the game. I dont know how you can go there if you dont support either side, personally.

As for the Prelim. Relief. Pure and utter relief. Had there been an extra 30 seconds or so, I would not even want to contemplate what might have happened after that ball up on the Pies 50M line..

i came close to turning around a saying something believe me.

over confident west coast supporters who bought their tickets through agent packages mid season believing they would just stroll through to the GF HA:D. i actually saw a few of packages going on ebay as well.

Apologies for the GF talk in the PF thread ChapmanMagic.

fav moment of the PF would've had to be Gazza's goal in the last quarter. what a moment!! that was spine tingling stuff. That and of course the final bell

exactly. let someone go who will remember it and appreciate it for what it's worth.
Me, Liza and Jess were sitting right next to the 'suits' in the MCC area. Shoulda seen all those empty seats.

Ah, it happens every year. Won't change. Just gotta deal with it the best way you can and have the best day you can. It is alot better now, epecially with all the 'live' sites.

The Prelim Final was our Grand Final, both for the players and fans.

Like most, I was very relaxed GF week. Only started to get nervous about 30 mins before the game, but those nerves were nothing like I felt for the whole week leading up to the Prelim Final.

All week my stomach was in knots at the thought of the game, I work with 2 Collingwood fans so couldn't escape it at work. I was on the edge of my seat the whole game, nervous, tense, excited all in one.

The feeling when the siren went was just pure relief. Had the GF been closer, who knows maybe I would have felt just as nervous during the game.

Add to that the atmosphere was 100x better at the Prelim Final too. Brilliant to be in a crowd of 98,002 when almost all of them are genuine fans. I actually watched the last few mins of that Prelim the other day.

COMETH THE MOMENT, COMETH THE MAN!!

I too reside in Sydney and watched the game at a friends place. We all made an agreement to turn off our phones so as not to be contacted.

However, by half time I was nearly beside myself and discreetly started checking pocket news on my mobile. I felt a small degree of comfort when I discovered we were 11 points in front with not too much longer to go. Well this small degree of comfort turned to sheer terror when I got an update saying we were only 5 points up with still time to go!

Needless to say the next few moments were spent frantically waiting for an update to confirm full time scores. The relief was overwhelming when I got confirmation of our win but as my friends and I were only up to the midpoint of the third term, I had to hide this. I've not owned up to this yet to my friends so don't go telling anyone;)

Where can you purchase the pre-lim dvd !? also eventually i'd like to get the vfl granny as well.....really milk this season for all its worth :p:D:thumbsu:.

I'm still in the means of colating my own premiership keep safes !! bugger paying all that coin for registered material.Herald sun - sun hun - the age/sun age & even saturdays edition after we knocked collingwood off !! Mainly all pictorial material and hopefully laminate it and frame it at half the cost.
One original photo i would love to get is the scarlo/mooney salute to the crowd on the back of the dias while the rest of the boys were facing the other way, it was in the age !!
Whilst i know that you have to pay for the pic and it is for personal use, do you get a choice of sizes or even the negative of the pic taken !?
