Hey we've got nothing to lose really . Except the 4 points but hey they're the favourites so we have to do the underdog thing and scrap . I hope it's 0 with swirling breeze :-) but we will be ok . ;)

Adelaide's strength in their forward line is that they have a 6'4 bloke that moves like a 5'11 bloke and a 6'6 bloke that moves like a 6'2 bloke.

We put Thompson on Lynch last night because Wright is bigger, and I wager we'll have to do the same with Walker and Jenkins next week.
Rory kicked 3 from the guts today as well. And eddie had a relatively quiet night. Hoping the margin wont be as big as the final last year and the key to that will be the weather. Hoping our friend the Hobart hurricane turns up.

Exactly you can't just drop younger guys after a few games just because they didn't perform as well as expected.
We have carried blokes for months on end in the past that underperformed (I'm looking at you drew wet toast eagles Petrie) and yet people want to drop talented young guys in preference to bring in an older guy with a crook hip or a guy who has stunk it up 5 weeks running and plays 1 game well in the "VFL"..
Give the kids a break as it's the only way they are going to get experience, some of you lot are like a bunch of employers expecting to employ a 17yr old with 5yrs of on the job experience....
Honestly, I cannot understand this concept of resting younger kids to bring in blokes we have carried for years. Simpkin was there when needed last night and actually takes some risks when required unlike some of the 'lost' senior players who don't know how to ice a game when it's required.
4 goals up with 10 minutes to go - again, like Geelong and the WB some critical errors, I was waiting for the first goal from the Suns to come - like clockwork and on queue a reply in just over a minute by the Suns. This shit has to stop. Still something Brad is yet to 'fix' from 2013

Brad was wrong about that being a worse game than our others, I think it was our best so far. Less clangers, less turnovers, less brain fades in general.

We still can't execute that well, still have brain fades, and certainly still have clangers, but I think it was a lot down. Another thing that worked a million times better was our forward line. Running patterns, making space, and just generally not getting in the way of our primary leading target helped benny really shine.

I don't see much of a different team going to Adelaide. Would be a good experience for the young guys.

Adelaides will to run when they get a turnover will cut us to shreds. They run that hard forward in waves it's not funny. 3/4/5 linking handballs then their forwards just go every which way.

This could be a Launceston-esque belting

Ala the Eugene/buddy13

One thing with our current team from what i see, too many defenders , Williams, Tarrant, Mullett, Hansen, Thompson, Vickers-Willlis, Macmillan Mcdonald Atley. Thats 9 players who are primarily defensive based, afew of them play on the wing aswell but have played their best footy in defence. Hansen was put fwd coz we needed structure there but also there were no match ups for him in the backline. As much as its good for him to be given a go I dont really think we need Vickers Willis in the side atm, he was brought in vs Freo when a tall and a mid were dropped for him (defender and wood and fwd), it would either be out of him or hansen out for me and hansen adds the extra height with the ability to play as a kdp.

Out: jy (rested), hansen (suspended), atley (omitted)
In: Durdin, Waite, mountford

Jenkins likes to get out in front. Durdin likes to play in front. Plonk him in front and let's see how he goes.

Tarrant - tex
Marley - betts
EVW - lynch
Mullet - cameron

Thompson to play spare. They like to play pagan's paddock. Plonk thompson in the hole and he'll chop it off all day.

Mountford close checking sloane.
Cunnington head 2 head with crouch

Goldie will need to lift against jacobs. They normally have a good duel.

Need to stop their run out of defense. We didn't do too bad against saad and harbrow last night. Need to stop laird from getting it 20+ times.

We'll win this game. Bookmark it.

You know.. the crows have yet to play wet weather footy ... so if it does rain... will be interesting. Becomes 50 50 i think.

Interesting that BBB3 has disappeared off Page 1 for the first time in 4 weeks.

After a win next Saturday I think it's time to lock it and throw away the key.
Yeah, cause locking the first 2 worked out well! We beat the Gold Coast in Melbourne. In the last two years (2015, 16 and 17) they have won twice in Melbourne. It was no great feat.

If Crows do us over Scott should walk away. With 3 top 10 draft picks there is no way we should lose to a team with none.

This will be our best win since we beat the Hawks in 2014 or West Coast in Hobart in 2015 maybe.
Probably go back further than that and refer to the Saints victory in 2009.

They are kicking cricket scores and its ****ing scary stuff.

On a positive note, it is hard to keep winning, as much as coaches try to keep you grounded, your cracks aren't exposed as much when you are flying and you are more prone to put in a shocker, especially on the road. Lets hope that day is against us.

Hansen won't get suspended, usually I'd say he would but if he didn't get rubbed out for his elbow vs Freo he won't go this week.

But the rest I agree with, besides the win although I think we are a chance at Hobart.

I guess after recent revelations you don't need a thread - its happening anyway right?

You clearly wont ever get a job as a bookie!

We wont be flogged, the team has too much grit and a much better matchup on your forward line than we've had before. But that midfield is going a bit bananas. How the hell matt crouch made it to pick 23 I'll never know. Those brothers are smashing it.
