get back to stealing tv's

Righto, whatever, choose not to believe me. Im not trying to create speculation either! Strong Connection!

And dont you worry. ive got that many stolen televisions. Having a garage sale saturday morning at the telestealers house. Come down! Make the trip across town!

Any results from the weekend? Xavs easy over caulfield! Surprising considering I heard they pushed de la the week before... I know it was only a praccy match but can you confirm or deny this rooster?

Muf. Was not there but told De La 19s won easily against CG. Kicked something like 14.25. It was a combined 1s/2s De La team with plenty on the bench while CG finished with no bench due to injuries. This would have made life tough for them.

They had a bench against us.... But it was more like a causality ward!! They ended up with 16 or 17 players at the end!

Only 19 days left till the real stuff! Can't wait should be a very close season!

Muf - Is the comment from Shaggy above correct ? That you (Xavs) only got over the Blacks by six goals at Murchison ?

I wasn't there and was only told we won! But it was our first practice match and the squad was split in half as the other half went down to peninsula, but it wouldn't surprise me if blacks improve this year! I'm hearing scotch are going to be alot better aswell this season!

Blacks will be marginally stronger this year.

It's always hard for the Blues and Blacks teams. They hardly get a pre-season due to players rocking up late and the pool of talent is often diluted between the two.

How are the boys from Beauy Sharks going this year. Will the loss of Dickinson and Webber hurt them?

Beauy went down in both grades by 10 plus goals?? Not sure Webber is that important! IMO

Played against xavier last w/e, they looked really good.

Caulfield was decimated with injuries though, but xavier was a class above us.

We didn't get blown away by DeLa, pretty sure we were leading at quarter time, maybe lost by 6 goals.

Whereas against Xavier, we got dominated in the first quarter, then through some numbers back and stemmed the flow of goals. Lost by probably 10-12 goals.

Really too early to call for any team.

Obviously De La and Xavs are the powerhouses for the under 19 comp and they are always competitive. Getting mixed reports about St Bernards.

St Bedes have talented youngsters but they may have to play in the seniors due to so many players that have left the club.

Only two weeks till round 1 and I am excited.

Webber is a big chop out!

Beauy look like struggling this year. only retaining few of their elite 19's from last year in Tom Mac, Bourn, McLean.

Looking at records, the only player that will already have the last 2 seasons worth of 19 premier experiences under his belt is Rammanathan.

Playing against them recently gave insight that the players listed above are expected to carry the side with Goss, Bloomer and Smout to give some form of aide.

Any sharks confirm any of this?

Also wondering if people think they will struggle due to Rammanathan being the only one with 2 seasons under his belt

Who do teams play for their firts round one clash?

How are teams shaping up? In/outs etc?

I hear St. Bernards are getting Tom Liberatore and Mitch Wallis to give them a hand..

Rumour is that not even thats going to help them this year!

quite good from bernards, bedes generally a competitive side in premier
uni blues got flogged by de la salle, varsity not complete as a side yet and de la hitting their straps going into the season with great form

Always exciting at this time of the year. Any other results from praccy games over the weekend??

Looking at the fixture list this week and there are three games in bold which should be games. Would love to hear some predictions.....

OM's v St Bedes
Beaumaris v Uni Blacks
Old Scotch v De La Salle
Uni Blues v Old Xaverians
Fitzroy v St Bernards

Tipping

OM's v St Bedes - OM's still struggling (IMO) St Bedes by plenty
Beaumaris v Uni Blacks - Beauy playing Uni side at home
Old Scotch v De La Salle - Will be a cracker, Scotch looked to have improved again in the preseason? but De La still too good
Uni Blues v Old Xaverians - Xav will smash Uni, always takes a couple of weeks for the Uni sides to get going
Fitzroy v St Bernards - Not sure, St Bernard on the back of ok pre-season form, although Fitzroy looked ok late last year?
