THE MUF... please elaborate about this St Bedes story? At the moment their 3rds team has withdrawn from the comp. Considering their under 19's have two teams I'm finding it hard to believe.

St Bedes/Mentone have dropped out of the league????

Sorry MUF I’m a totally confused. St Bedes pulled their 3rds before round 1 but had 2 x U19 teams playing last weekend. Fixture suggests the same again this weekend. I know there 2nd team battled for numbers last week but can you clarity?

This week

De La. Comfortably
Xavs. ditto
SBMT. ditto
Bernies. Will be tough to beat the pit.
Blacks. Closest game of the round

Are you serious muf ? Or you taking pi$$ ?

Straight from the umpires mouth... Plus I then heard a number of Fitzroy players say they don't know if they can find a new coach in time for next week... Had something to do with him dropping some of his players just before the match...

Oh ok muf. Sad to hear a coach leave so early in the season !

Any scores from the Blacks v Scotch game ?

I was at the De la vs Beaumaris game this weekend and was also at the Beaumaris vs Uni blacks the week before. Beaumaris seem to have picked up a key defender. I wasn't sure on his name at the time, his team mates were calling him 'byza' after the game i checked the Vafa site to find his name is Byron Hughes. Byron is a strong, fast defender with a great pair of hands and a great ability to kill the contest. Byron has a strong future ahead of him.

Other teams should be aware of him.

Really? Byron Hughes? Seeing that he already played in your 2's that day i'd say he was a late call up, also seeing that you had about 4 blokes out for the game by half time says your selection for this game was poor if those guys already had injuries.

Also from watching the game you can see whoever your captain is shows no heart, did nothing when a captain should stand up and was quiet all day, no voice.

Ramanathan carried your beaumaris side and only McLean, Coghlan and Ballard seemed to want to help.

GOOOOOOO DE LA!!!!

understandably de la dominated but beauy were serverely underdone without perkin, mcmanamny ,edmondson,i think matt blee is down there this year and 4 in game injuries left them with 16 on the deck

but 4 players dont make a 200 point difference. you must be a shark by the sounds of things so what was said after the game about the performance?

and online it says McLean was awarded best on, mistake or what?

Our thoughts are with last years premiership captain matt Douglas and his much talked about and ongoing battle with fluctuant weight.. Hang in there lovehandles

So your saying they lost 7 throughout the match? As there is 22 named on the vafa website...

only ended up going in with 21 2 were sick 2 injuries and 2 send offs i heard ,still no excuse though ,look for them to bounce back this week against the bernies

You'd need all the luck you can get to get close to the Bernie's at the pit!!!

The sharks or beaumaris byrons where extremely underdone with some big injuries in the first half, de la are an extremely good side non the less beaumaris will bounce back as i have heard reports from the coach that Byron will man the back line all st bernards players should be scared. The pit is that what you call it?
