If we want a decent GF, we need Xavs to win tomorrow and next week. Or Blacks maybe. But Blues are shot. Had no answers. No potency up forward. Shocking entries. Interchange bench and coaching direction was a rabble.
Old Scribes/Trinity toyed with them in the last half and could have won by more. Turned the rotations off mid last quarter.

Good call by the Q ball to bring in Van der Pohl into the side to specifically play on Goss only to be moved off him from the 10 min mark of the 1st quarter.
Rain forecast each day this week will make for a slower deck on Sunday. The VAFA may even let a bit of precipitation land on the centre wicket so it doesn't produce a sharp concrete feel again.
Should be a cracker of a game. Looking forward to the spectacle.
FWIW I'm looking forward to getting out to IKON Park at 9.20 for the Premier 3rds GF to see the mighty Old Xavs Red take on the scum from Old Xavs Black. Can't wait should be a belter.

Xavs playing in Senior, Ressies and 3rds (2 teams as obscene as that is). What a mighty club. Was on a tram (n.75) on the way to the 'G on Friday night and heard a bloke talking all things Old Xavs. He said they were doing the budget on Tuesday night and have projected revenues of $750K. It is a serious organisation.

Well both their unders teams took the gas, with the premier side not even making the grand final, With only 8 in it, and the bottom two absolutely hopeless, it was that hard to make finals. They used to dominate a 12 team comp not so long ago.I would have thought their unders success or otherwise was more important than a social comp of thirds football.
I am guessing MIO that your adoration stems from your childhood of never beating them ?
This is a really average post, barely makes sense. So you ignore the fact that Xavs have their 4 open age teams in GF's, and instead focus on the 19's missing a GF...righto. Maybe there were 2 better teams in it this year in the unders? Would you only rate a successful year for them as having every team they put on the park make the GF?
Make no mistake, I dislike them as much as anyone and MIO might as well, but I respect their continual success. You're just being ignorant if you can't acknowledge that and instead attack a poster for pointing it out.
