Blues recruits have been swallowed by the SKOB hype on here, but some handy additions. Out played in the Prelim but they weren't far off it.....aaaand.....

Watts, Summers and Young are massive losses, without looking into who else have departed. Harper not guaranteed to play with injuries and no job yet.Blues recruits have been swallowed by the SKOB hype on here, but some handy additions. Out played in the Prelim but they weren't far off it
Bernard's to be off the pace this year. Merrington, Jones, Caven, Gleeson, Hannan all gone
FWIW tipping De La to plateau this year, gung-ho footy is barely attainable for half a season, let alone 2.

Spot on Chazz. And with a few of the guys who played a number of games with Richmond (VFL) last year pulling out of VFL footy in 2016 things are looking bright for one half of the Uni this year. The other half really struggling and will be lucky to survive.Blues are quietly very bullish about their chances. Some very handy pick ups, not necessarily big names but will make them very tough to beat.
3 horse race for mine.
So you hearing Blacks are really struggling? I'm hearing Carey think they will be pretty strong with a handful of VFL recruits.Spot on Chazz. Haven't managed to cover the losses from what I can tell. Will be a small, young side. Blues on the other hand are flying. So you hearing Blacks are really struggling? I'm hearing Carey think they will be pretty strong with a handful of VFL recruits.
Nothing wrong with following the jobs trail, Scribe......aaaand.....

Which three clubs do you believe can lay claim to being the most dominant over the past 10 years?Uni Blues are, with SKOB, the biggest under achievers of the past decade. Traditionally pump themselves up every pre-season and rarely capitalize... Funny how the 3 Clubs who have dominated the last 10 years of A Grade never talk themselves up... Perhaps a lesson for the self-righteous Clubs out there.

I'm with you. Xavs and Collegians the standouts of the past 10 years. Just trying to work out who in a rush thinks the third isThere have only been two dominant clubs in the last decade. Xavs 4 flags and Collegians 2. (Lions have also played in 5 of the last 8 GFs which is a brilliant effort). All others single flags with a few of those clubs now occupying positions in 'B' grade. Reckon the only other club to have been in 'A' grade continuously for the last decade would be De La. While they have a swag of U19 and 2s flags without a senior premiership they cannot be classed as dominant.
St Bedes Mentone IMO. Right up there on their day. 3 GF's. 1 Flag.
Had a good period but you can hardly be classed as a dominant ‘A’ grade club when you are sitting in ‘B’grade!

Also hard pressed to say that St Bede's didn't puff out their chests when the were winning!!! Which I love by the way. Fake modesty on the chat room full of anonymous posters is one of the most ridiculous virtues there is. Personally I love the rumours, out there opinions and general banter. Only posts I don't like are the ones attacking other anonymous posters (honestly what is the point!!!). PS I'm guilty of this.
FWIW interesting assessment that both clubs are self-righteous because people outside the club post things about their recruits on here. Show me a team website post or coach comment that talks themselves up and I will agree.
Blues are the team to beat imo, injury beat them last season and with those returning and some new blood, it's exciting times at the pavvie.
Bernies in a world of pain at the minute, lost 9 of their premiership team mostly their forward line. Radar Riley must be fuming.
The lack of talk about the OTs is also quite staggering for a team that missed by a kick and is predominately full of young guns.
My top 4
Blues
OT
Xavs
SKOB
