Give 'em the silverware for this year and start the engraving for 2017 when Jamar returns - along with any other ex AFL players on the loose.

Pretty sure they will just have the ex-Melbourne list by 2017. But hey, they know how to lose.

Scribe has always been rock solid here. The fact we know who he is adds even more of a positive to his general style. He's not protected. He's just generally liked.
Harrow has thrown one from a bunker of annonimity.
Harder to respect that.
He may throw a cheap one your way BS but you both know each other. That's different.
Scribe has thrown more than 'a cheap one' my way recently, obviously because he thinks I was Sausage Roll who used to go after him, and now Harrow.
Yes it's true I know who he is, and as I've said to him privately, I look forward to catching up with him at a game, however unlikely, when SKOB plays OT. Hopefully he and his love interest on here learn a stern lesson that you dont assume anything from users who hide behind fake names, we shall see.

You have a lot to say for someone who won't declare who you are involved with, why the secrecy?
Good to see you've come out regarding reading my posts as you've said you don't read 'em. The only indication I've had recently was via your reports to the mods.;)

I appreciate you are no theoretical physicist but it's not that hard to work out where my sympathies lie regarding a club. Not that that should have any significant bearing on contributions - by anyone.

Anyhow, you should be over the moon your club is so popular and regarded a serious flag contender.

Not sure we are a serious flag contender, we are just trying to survive after 10 years being in B grade.
Uni Blues and Trinity are my two favourites along with De La Salle. Any of the other 7 teams could finish 4th.

6*** teams. Carey to replicate season 2013.

If SKOB have anything close to their best 22 all on the park at the one time, they are a 10-15 goal better side than any other team.
The pedigree of the recruits is like nothing the VAFA has ever seen before.
It's great. No need to down play it.
I'd be pumped. It will not be a flag not worth celebrating because of the recruits. Far from it.
I'm looking forward to watching you.
Like when the U.S dream team played in the olympics.

And Strauss is a 1 pointer as he played at OS as an Old Boy last year.....

I believe he'd be at least 3 points because he played in the same competition but for a different team last year. There is a penalty for that (I think Rooster and I debated this about 7-8 pages back!)

What i don't know for sure is whether he is still classified as ex-AFL, having played at least one senior AFL game in any of the past 3 seasons, which comes with maximum points. I don't know if playing for OS will cut that down or not.

There's still a lot of questions around how it exactly applies depending on the different scenarios that can arise.

BS - the interest in points is because your side is the one that looks to be closest to the threshold, so we're basically using SKOBS as a case study. It's an interesting exercise as this is new to everyone.

I can not currently access the clearances page on the VAFA website. Don't say SKOBs influx of players have crashed the web.

I've heard Blues will be over the limit!

I'm still coaching, and learning, and intend to keep doing it until it stops being fun.

One thing I've learnt about myself is I'm far better suited to coaching lines at an elite level, working one-on-one with highly committed players, than coaching clubs/teams at a moderate/local level.

Anyhow enough about me, let's talk about Scotch, or SKOB (seniors)

Good work scribe - it is good to see a man acknowledge his limitations!

How can Strauss possibly be a 1 pointer? In fact had Scotch still been in ‘A’ grade he would be worth 7.

And Salopek a 1 pointer? He went to St Francis Xavier and has played 2 years at SKOB so at best a 2 or 3. Gysberts a Yarra Valley Grammar boy and Gilham (Whitefriars) both in their second year at SKOB would be 4 would they not? perhaps Gilham less as he has not played AFL for a few years.

To be honest I could not care less but the system is in so we may as well be truthful about it.

I think you will find this is Salopeks 4th year at SKOB. Gysberts hasn't played an AFL game in 3 years. How would Strauss have been a 7 pointer at Scotch? He went to Scotch College. Seriously JimmyJack we are going to have get you to put on a bib.
