I didn't say that - I said I'm better suited to coaching higher level lines than lower level teams.
You said "elite" didn't you? It's just your coaching record doesnt amount to much quite frankly . I admire your honesty.

I think you will find this is Salopeks 4th year at SKOB. Gysberts hasn't played an AFL game in 3 years. How would Strauss have been a 7 pointer at Scotch? He went to Scotch College. Seriously JimmyJack we are going to have get you to put on a bib.

Perhaps read the points system policy before you come on here potting other posters.

Category 6 – AFL Player 6 points.

“Has played at least one AFL game in the previous 3 seasons”

Sub Section 6.1. Additional points Allocations

“If a player transfers to a community club and will be competing against their former community club an additional 1 point penalty will apply”

So as I said if Scotch were still in 'A' grade and by virtue of the fact that he is now playing for St Kevins: 6 + 1 =7. its really not that hard to work out.

You can borrow my bib if you like.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I'm sure yours carries the appropriate weight on this forum.

Coburg were pretty happy we conceded 30 less goals in 2015 than the previous season, despite losing our B&F and key running defender in Adam Saad to Gold Coast.

Having Michael Hartley win the 2015 club B&F and get picked up by Essendon in the national draft was really pleasing for me personally - given how closely we worked on areas of his game to get him back in the AFL mix.

I really enjoyed my time at Piranha Park and would have happily continued but for family demands requiring me home more and thus coaching bayside. Fortunately I am able to choose to move to this cute little competition known as the TAC Cup (notwithstanding my appalling coaching record ).

Why did Sandringham Dragons chose to appoint me to their TAC Cup coaching staff?

Well you'll have to ask them....

One things for sure. If I ever chose to return to local club coaching, I'd be confident the interviews would be focused on what I have done and learnt at VFL/TAC level, and how that may translate to local footy.

You seemed strangely pre-occupied with earlier days (and I'm feeling a strange sense of déjà vu from late 2014) - good luck with that.

Anyhoo, this has bugger all to do with Premier Section seniors/reserves/thirds for 2016, so please move on and take your strange obsession with you.

Not sure what the 2014 reference means ?

Your utter humility is noted .. You obviously get guys drafted with your coaching and " elite" background . I hope you come back and try and win a final ! Ouch!

It is all cancelled out by the fact that JS is a Scotch College boy and played there last year, so he is now a 1 point VAFA player who is now transferring to another club.
Will be an interesting first year, the VAFA will be flexible if a side accidentally excess the points occasionally, which won't happen, because it's a learning year.

The real issue will be the 6 Swans guys coming back to OX for a total of 6 points!

The reincarnation of Golden Greek on the D1 board circa November/December 2014.

Same shit, different name.

Pretty gutless effort, but not as gutless as threatening someone in a PM and then cancelling your account.

I am not following .. Is he calling Brian gutless ? Or me ? I have been very upfront with my views !

A Big Footy legend in the news!

http://m.smh.com.au/business/workpl...eave-for-men-remains-low-20160303-gn9hg0.html

Also, Uni Blues vs De La Salle tomorrow at Seaford, 5 weeks out from round one, interesting.

Legit question – I’m not sure of your point. Are you inferring that it is a bit early for practice games or just that there will be interest in the game. With Labour day next weekend and Easter a few weeks after that there are really only 3 clear weekends between the end of Feb and Round 1. Plenty of clubs going around today and tomorrow. I actually think Blues had a hit out last weekend as well.

That's not how it works unfortunately.

No its not. Unless the VAFA have applied their own sub clauses over the top of the AFL Vic policy he is only a 1 pointer when he plays at Scotch.

Scribe Leave me out of it! Please also tell your mate AM the same thing.

Okay Brian! I'm really tired of your 'woe is me' stuff and misdirected accusations.

I've been the victim of one of your vituperative, mean spirited, distorted and erroneous PM's too. I've also been the victim of your - not infrequent I'm guessing - reports to mods seeking the removal of posts that happen displease you. The day I have to resort to asking a mod to remove another contributors post is the day I'll withdraw from Big Footy.

As do many of us I know who Scribe is but that's it. I support him here from time to time because he's one our many good posters. One who is not infrequently set upon unfairly. He is more than capable of handling any attacks but when I see unfairness I tend to weigh in with support. Not only with respect to Scribe either. Scribe is one our enlightened posters who writes well and heavens knows we could do with more of them. That's the extent of my relationship with him.

Over many years you've come on here and directed salvos - in your at least two guises - at various people. It happened yet again only a few pages back when you launched into another of our top posters - Rooster 24 - with a tirade that was not only misdirected but you'd need a miners lamp and search party to find even a skerrick of accuracy.

On the occasions you are 'settled' you post some worthwhile stuff. When you aren't 'settled' you unsettle so many others and make the board an unpleasant place to be.

So settle!

End of rant.

Wow!

Boy this sounds a lot like scribe!

Incorrect according to the VAFA, anyway, it doesn't matter, there is no way a club will hit 50 points unless they are Deer Park.

Think someone’s having a lend of you Brian. It’s a statewide, policy that is enforced by AFL Vic. I doubt if the VAFA can disregard the policy and make a separate interpretation to suit themselves. While I agree it matter’s little at Scotch he’s a 1 but at SKOBs he’s a 6. .

Enough of these constant diatribes against (somewhat) anonymous avatars! Back to the footy please!

Any word on matches played over the weekend? Albeit 6 weeks until the real stuff
