I reckon the final four is just about locked in. The only query is in which order will the teams finish at the end of the home and away season.

Terrible call Jas. Blues sit % out in a competition that is very even. For mine, there's a number of teams that could make the 4.I reckon the final four is just about locked in. The only query is in which order will the teams finish at the end of the home and away season.

Carey is an interesting one. Hansie or Carlton may like to comment.
Floated around D-F grade for decades then rise on the back of some great players like Dolly Parton, Collins, Howat, Mcqeen-Miscamble and others. But with a tiny tiny flow from a small non footy school...now when this type leave, can they only ever be a C Grade type club? Like a Geelong or Camberwell?
Hard to mix it at the top end if you don't get 40 kids down every year.
Carey seem to get a handful at best.
The Club only gets a handful of players as you say but on the other hand there are about 15 on AFL/VFL lists so the school does produce some good players. There hasn't been a high priority for football at the school in the past but that is changing now. No excuses, we have got to A in what has been one hell of a ride over the past 10 years but struggling this year. Close to best side in on Saturday but couldn't cut it, very poor first half but the spirit is good. Are we a "C" club? No, too much has been done to let that happen. We got relegated with Uni Blues a couple of years ago and came straight back up. Our young players of which there are plenty are on a steep learning curve which will make them better in coming years. Heads are up and we look forward to the next game.
So there you go Canada, you do have a fixation with the Panthers being relegated tho..........
If you can't be passionate about your ammos team here...where can you be?? I say keep sprouting. Whilst not quite a Leicester story..if OT's salute it will indeed be Cinderella like and huge, when you think of what heavyweights like Xavs and now even more so the SKOB AFL/VFL import bonanza...are bringing to the table.
Keep singing Scribulous one!
Agree.
I was way off what I thought would happen this year.
Take Carey out if it and we have 9 very good teams. OT's will play finals. Xavs and De La very likely.
I will stick with my early tip that OM's will go down with Carey, but the rest is a raffle.
Yeah right, Skobs a heavyweight?? you must be joking on both counts. Cant win games and their imports havent got their hearts in it.
When you have to go and get the ball, plenty of these guys are found wanting..
Reckon I might have called you out on this in the pre-season Canada. Respect the fact that you are sticking with your prediction but I just can’t see OMs getting relegated. They have recruited well and some of their inclusions have flown under the radar due to the focus on the high profile names that joined SKOBs and Xavs.
They have plenty of big bodies, well suited to mid winter at that wind swept s..t hole they now call home !
Hopefully no one will attempt to tease out the others then. Some say it's one of my best qualities.
Extremely disappointed to see a long time quality poster on this board in 'Scribe' has suddenly closed his BF account.
I always found him one of our most readable and insightful of BF posters. In fact, the only major flaw I could find during his time with us was that he was a Hawthorn supporter.
I can only assume the reason for his sudden departure was of a most compelling nature.
If you read this 'Scribe' and the cause of you leaving is the action of another individual remember the mock Latin aphorism "Illegitimi non carborundum"
In any event, I hope you review your sudden decision to close your account and that you can now see your way clear to revive it.
To pinch a former militaryfrasephrase “WE NEED YOU”!
Have to admire Collegians. Despite kicking just 6 and 7 goals in consecutive weeks they find a way to grind out a win. A number of all time club greats called time at the end of 2015 and with a list lacking star quality they get the job done again. Respect.
Not sure how OX is being rated highly right now. They are 3-2 with their three wins coming against the bottom 3 teams. They could be good this year, but so far they have done nothing much.
Heavyweight in relation to size and numbers. As in OT battling against bigger clubs.
Agree. Super effort from the Lions. Might be short on big names but clearly have plenty of ticker. Also begs the question how a team (according to the on-line team list) containing Gilham, Strauss, Salopek, Bail, Gysberts and a host of others with solid VFL, TAC and VAFA credentials can kick just 5 goals on a perfect day.

It is simple : THEY ARENT THAT GOOD!!!!!!! How many times do people need to be told?
There coach is a dud and an apologist.
Their club is souless, bereft of of commaradery, leaderless........
Other than OC going down its a toss up between Bernies and this rabble as to who join them..............
I was more wrapping up Collegians than panning the Lions (at post #1500). Can only judge them on what I saw in Rd 1 and they looked pretty good. I am genuinely baffled as to how a team with that much talent can be 1 – 4 at this stage. While I don’t know the workings of the club well enough to comment on the other points you raise, the call on the coach might be a tad unfair. Edgar has a solid coaching record so perhaps a bit more to this than meets the eye.
No JJ I got your inference re : Coll. They will win more than they lose. They are having a crack.
I will put it to you this way : When your A Grade coach is on the boundary during the Ressies and he is abusing and denegrating the opposition players you realy have to ask yourself whats going on. Thats just for starters..... Last year he hadHartford.
Big V squad named. As usual noted more for some of the absentees than who is on it. Still, a very strong squad.
