Cox left due to family and work. Club would have loved him to stay.
AM may need more proof than me saying this is fact....but it is.

Good to see you are getting the difference between fact and opinion mate:D

It's a fact the Hail College would not give their old boys football club 5 cents more than the yearly sponsorship they begrudgingly give. This is fact.
Cox is also fact.
Infact, all APS related old boys topics and facts I discuss here on BF are facts.
I tried to change my name to APS Guru, but VAFA Guru reported me for copying him. This infact is not a fact.

Xavs will be finalists.
Ressies and thirds in 2015 highlight their depth. Under 19's division one champions highlights the youth coming through.
What's missing is some top end talent. Dan Noonan coming back from Port Melbourne is a start. There will be half a dozen more. The Xavs machine is ready roll. Yet again.

Canada I see that OX trumpeting the arrival of journeyman (or mercenary if you prefer) Jay Bruno. Not quite at the standard that seems to have been suggested here previously. I trust the AFL/VFL recruits are to be announced soon.

Didn't know that Bruno was going to the Xavs actually. Can play, but yes his changing of clubs every 1-2 years is a bit of a worry. But was VFL not long ago, but yes does not meet my 'rockstar' criteria.

Was a fine player in the SFL and obviously has (or had) some talent but at the risk of having that clown Perspective haunt our boards again we all know that the SFL is several steps down in class from ‘A’ grade ammos. Doubt he ever played VFL seniors and from all reports made little impression in most recent stint in the MPNFL. I guess time will tell. Have heard a few other decent VFL players named as possibly returning to the claret n’ stout but nothing set in stone.

Just thought it was ‘Un Xavs’ like to make such a big deal of his signing when there are countless others already on the books who IMO are far superior players.

By big deal, r u talking those couple of paragraphs on their own website or was there a half page ad i missed in the HUN or something?

The former. Maybe I put a bit of mayo on it! However if they roll that our for an SFL player I will expect the Roulettes to do a fly over, a ticker tape parade down Barkers Road and full page announcements in all the dailies if any of Watson, J.Kennedy, X.Richards or Hannebury return.

Would be worth a fly over if they came back now....but the old broken down Luke Ball type arrival of a Watson or Kennedy in 2022 will probably have to just rely on the HUN.

Bruno played 7 VFL senior games at Sandy and won the Nepean league Best and Fairest in his one season at Rye despite pulling the pin at round 15.

Says a bit...... As does what appears to be a change of clubs every year or 2, something that culturally does not really happen in the ammos. Obviously has some talent but I think the difference he will find is that in 'A' grade ammos there is not a bad player or indeed an easy game. In the SFL and probably the Nepean also the top 6 – 10 are very good but it can fall away sharply. While Beaumaris struggled last year most seasons 10th can be at 1st on their day. The constant need to be ‘up’ week after week is relentless.

Any idea what the link is to Xavs? Some decent players (and big egos) at that club!. How do you think he will cope not being the main man?

(According to SP his 7 senior appearances were in 2010 with his most recent outing in the VFL resulted in only reserve grade action).

snow dogs travelling very nicely

one superstar coach out in A.Rock however quickly filled with another whom would be at least the sam credentialed if not higher,

will do the right thing and await an official statement from the club before saying names...
