Sometimes even the ones that come feel the need to leave again. See E. RoutmanWhy is it that Scotch players find the need to leave for another VAFA club?

Travelling better than your coaching record !
Bloody tough gig being a coach and judging them on their win/loss record means nothing. Best coaching performance I have seen in all my years of playing and watching the VAFA was Paul Satterley at De La in 2014. And that includes some of our golden years in the 70s and 80s. But on Harrow's estimation he would be no good.
The club was on its knees – 30 blokes who played senior footy in 2013 were not there for various reasons in 2014 including 8 of the top 10 in the B&F. I have seen clubs with a third the number of players losses go on a free fall through the grades. They only fell 2 places on their previous year finish and remained in ‘A’ grade (albeit by the skin of their teeth). Then played finals the next year.
Very impressive .. Did scribe do something similar ? If so, I salute him!

Can't wait for Harrow to go back to the rock he crawled out from. Its a pretty basic point being made. SKOB/OX have better players from about players 35 down than OT/OC. You can put whatever label on it you want. Players 35 down have very to do with senior success; although I would say there are a few diamonds in the rough. Blokes who start in the 3s and end up being senior players.
As a SKOB man I'm starting to get excited....and not just because there is now a plus 35 comp. If nothing else Premier is a chance to renew some great old acquittances.
you don't get it , no one cares what you think after your attack on scribe, for no reasonPlayer 35 down are only relatively strong due to the players above them, so it is related to the strength of the seniors.
Are you playing over 35? Did u play for Skob ?
you don't get it , no one cares what you think after your attack on scribe, for no reason
Why would you want to talk about SKOB?.....aaaand.....
Let's stop talking about SKOB.....
again.......
....shall we?
I care, why is Scribe a protected species? He's happy to throw cheap shots my way, I'm enjoying the banter. I'm sure AM will have something to say shortly.you don't get it , no one cares what you think after your attack on scribe, for no reason
Actually MIO, I strongly disagree. A lot of VAFA clubs will play 45-50 players through the seniors each year, players 35 down have a massive impact on a clubs senior success. Can't wait for Harrow to go back to the rock he crawled out from. He's not protected at all, the fact is that he's a decent person and coach and will be great at u18 levelI care, why is Scribe a protected species? He's happy to throw cheap shots my way, I'm enjoying the banter. I'm sure AM will have something to say shortly.
I'm tipping no-one is immune from the newbie.Scribe has always been rock solid here. The fact we know who he is adds even more of a positive to his general style. He's not protected. He's just generally liked.
Harrow has thrown one from a bunker of annonimity.
Harder to respect that.
He may throw a cheap one your way BS but you both know each other. That's different.

Love the subtext Scribe. Maybe a little irony thrown in for good measure too.Cheers for the support. It's hardly been a "Harrowing" experience. A walk in the park compared to a day in the coaches box with Germo.
Rest assured, I won't be closing my account or throwing the toys out of the cot.
My old mate BS (aka Lazarus) is no doubt more in the know as to whether Harrow's mud slinging will be indiscriminate or otherwise. I'll defer to his experience on that....
At the time, Troon and T Bull didnt think they were getting a fair go..had mates at Colls and walked...J Bull followed his brother
after his school days were done. Nothing more sinister than that. . Happens to every club........but it wasnt a good look and it
hurt OS, more than they realised.
Give 'em the silverware for this year and start the engraving for 2017 when Jamar returns - along with any other ex AFL players on the loose.http://www.heraldsun.com.au/leader/...s/news-story/c83f7d2702fe2060ce5d57ace6e05684
Looks like SKOBs pockets are even deeper than first thought
