Lets just say he has copped a dose of "stage fright" with his first offering...
If there are 18 more servings of that tripe I will petition VAFA HQ to have Jasecave take over the role!

May as well continue the brave predictions though:
Premiers - Old Xavs
Runners Up - SKOB
Woodrow - Shaw (Xavs), Sullivan (Bernies)
Goal Kicking - Goss(OX) Nicolsci (T's)

Seconded!

SKOB would be early favs. Rumour is they're already clearing space for the silverware in the palatial THK rooms.:)

Premiers SKOB..of course. You can only assume the AFL and VFL imports will gel.
Runners up...Xavs or Blues
Woodrow: Shaw
Goal Kicking: Goss
Relegation: Panthers and Gazmen.
Talking point: SKOB winning 40 on the trott.

40 on the trott, must have been a big weekend Canada !! We are under no illusions as to where we fit in the scheme of things. At 2.00pm Sat, De La who came 4th last year play the team who replaced the 9th placed team. We have the job in front of us, we'll give a good account of ourselves. No different to 9 other Prem clubs.

You will smash DLS. Unless you have a truckload of injuries. Your list is closer to AFL than VAFA.
I'd be pretty confident if I were you. DLS are quick and skilful but they will struggle to contain your strength, height, experience and pedigree. I'm tipping a big SKOB win. Maplebet has you at $1.20, with DLS at $4.80. Draw $101.00

I'll have a ton on de la thanks maplebet! Easy cash I reckon...

Tips:
Blacks over Wesley by 12 pts
Trinity over Carey by 30 points
Xavs over Snowdogs by 10 points
SKOB over DLS by 29 points
Blues over Melburnians by 23 points.

Will be tough as round 1 is always tricky. Who's up? Who's fit? You would expect a few results to raise the odd eyebrow.

Bring it on...

Have to agree with you on most of these mate. Should be a solid round to start the year around the division. Don't think skob will get up by that much though, should be a good game between two quality sides trying to prove their worth amongst the best of the best. I'd put good money on the skobbers to get over the de la boys by 4 goals.

Secondly, should be a massive day down at the pit as we take on the mighty xavas. Again, should be a very close game amongst two sides who produced some quality football last year. (Especially us WOOF WOOF) I think we will be getting up by around 2 goals.

Wesley and blacks will be the blowout of the round I believe. Wesley were lucky to stay up last year and from what I've seen they don't look too strong an outfit to challenge the stronger sides this year. I see blacks getting up by 10 goals.

Trinity and Carey, the battle of buleen road should be a belter with the two sides sounding to have a strong pre season for the year ahead. I think the mighty trinity will pull through stronger though. My tip would be 5 goals for the green and gold.

Lastly, melbournians and blues will be the worst match of the round from what I'm predicting. I really can't see Melbourne being a force this year, especially after giving up a 7 goal lead in last years cracking Premier B grand final. I tip blues to get up by 7 goals

Couldn't agree more there swagman! Melbournians still look like they are suffering from the 7 goal they gave up in last year's B Grade Grand final!

Skevs look way to strong for DLS considering the big ins they have this week!! My judgement was very abroad !! I'll slim it back to 36 points!!

Trinity looking very good on the back of a great preseason!! There backline look solid as a rock , with their midfield up there with the best on the comp!!

The day down at bernies looks a cracker with 4 of the 5 sides playing eachother at the home of last year's premiers!!

Collegians by 18

Blues 12 points- my iffy one for the day- not sure how much those well publicised injuries might have bitten Blues already, considering they have lost some key players as well

Skobs 18pts
UB's 30pts Despite injuries, should be to polished for OM's

Coll's - Who knows with Blacks.
OT - Easy.
Xavs - Game of the round. Winner to be declared new 'runner up' favourite behind SKOB
DLS - Teethin problems for SKOB and trying to fit 15 AFL players under the points cap!
UB's - Just cos.

FWIW
Blacks by a kick
OTs by a scary amount
Bernies at home and unveiling
De La too slick in the back half for lazy fwds
Les Blu comfortably, still figuring out how OMs got here
