Buying? Please explain? And 6 out of 7 of your posts are about SKOB, pretty easy to read your history.
FYI, we played 5 non SKC boys today, Blues played 6 non Uni boys and Blacks 8, so what's your point?

I was thinking the same.

What does he mean by buying?

Have Skob paid players? Is that what he is insinuating ?

If so, does he have any evidence of knowledge or just throwing cheapies?

looks like old Xavs are going ok - when spectators start complaining about our off-field influence, you know things are going ok. Kanis has whinged about Old Xavs since Adam was a boy (Kanis was in the Unders then).

Would have been nice if Bernies completed their comeback against Blacks. A relegation game was almost on. Bernard's will be missed in A grade.

"Bernards will be missed in A Grade"......Yeah, like an impacted wisdom tooth. I can guarantee no one, but no one will miss not having to drive out
to that dump for another year......

The Snakepit has always been a challenge - and notwithstanding this year, Bernards invariably present as a tough opposition. That is why they will be missed. Would far prefer the challenge of Bernards than dealing with the likes of Beaumaris or SBMT.

Give you the tip..more people complain about playing at Trinity than they do at the Snakepit..and you can start with the umpires (worst umpire's rooms anywhere in footy)

Speaking of things we wont see again, I'm sure there's stories of people playing their last game in the coming weeks, or in Collegians case, the final game for outgoing President Wayne Dyer. A guy that's resided over the club from the lows of C grade to back-to-back A grade flags. His tireless work ethic and love for the club will be sorely missed.

We may have differing views but I’m with FF on this one. Very happy to wave good bye to St Bernards, even if as I suspect it is only for a year. The ground and facilities are good but despite the efforts of the current prez and committee they are far and away the most obnoxious and abusive supporters in the VAFA. Add the travel factor and I am glad to get away from the joint for a year (hopefully more!!)

Trinity visitor rooms are a disgrace but the playing surface and fact they are decent club makes it a good experience. Beaumaris are pussy cats. Downhill skiers and always enjoy playing them as we always beat them.

Re St Bedes – putting aside the fact that they play on a quirky little ground, they are otherwise a decent club with generally good people.

Rooster, thanks for reminding me. You are spot on. The Bernie crowds are the worst by a country mile. Obnoxious, rude, loud mouthed Boguns.
Fortunately, they are on the west side of the City. I for one hope they never get back, but that would be to much to ask for..

You failed to mention his wife Amanda....another tower of strength and support to Wayne in doing the great job that he has.

Great call. Would be respected by many in Ammo circles. Has a lot of time for umpires.

You can't have your cake and eat it too. If the VAFA wants to expand the amateur web outside the insular inner circle, its going to need clubs like Peninsula to keep rising up the sections.
I agree with Max's comments re: Pirate's ground and game clashes with school footy.
A concerted effort is being made for a new Pirate cave.

Think Pazza was speaking from the perspective of a man from the west. Way west.

In part and a subtle dig on the anti-Snowdog posts running around.

What next year is probablty going to mean is that 7/10 will be south of the yarra most likely. Then there will be bitching about travelling to Bulleen and the Uni.

Premier B will be more road trips, what with Essendon, Bulleen, Glen Waverley, Clayton, Fitzroy and Parkdale the extremities.

Those been in A grade more often than not are used to Bulleen and Uni.....not a problem.. Essendon, Clayton, Parkdale etc......no thanks.

Cmon, don't be so soft! Must be referring to the only very recent past. In the late 80s, early 90s, A grade involved regular trips to Bundoora to play Parade (Old Xavs used to play our praccy matches out there too - could never work out why there were trams so far out of the CBD) and Parkside (not so far, but oh so far! Still have flashbacks involving Jacky King).

Bernards wasn't that much of a trip in comparison.

And the trips to E.E. Gunn!
