I was out west where we had a medium southerly - did EP do its usual blow a gale in the third and die off in the last?

X and T Murphy to De La???
A response to this inquiry posted a few pages back. Not aware if these are players are confirmed but seems to been have raised by a few different sources now which would suggest some truth. Those at the dairy dome seem very bullish about next year. I am led to believe that a swag of players returning and a few decent recruits on the radar also.
Is it time for the VAFA to consider moving their showpiece Premier Grand Final away from Sportscover Arena to ie Visy Park, Carlton, or Punt Rd Oval, Richmond?
Sportscover Arena could still be the VAFA HQ as far as administration, umpiring training & representative football is concerned. For the Premier GF itself, play it at say Visy Park Carlton, Trevor Barker Oval Sandringham, or Punt Rd Oval Richmond. The VAFA never fail to fail. On their pinnacle day of the footy season guess what happens.......Yep, you got it... the change rooms flooded.
Thats right, FLOODED!!! All the guys gear was sitting in water. (probably after the seconds finished showering) etc..
I am led to believe players had their strapping and rud downs in the bar area pre game.... It was only a couple of years ago raw sewage
was the problem and I havent even mentioned the playing surface. What does it take to get somethings done correctly.
The sooner the VAFA DROP this DUMP the better. How hard can it be to source the above mentioned grounds or ones similiar.....
How about starting negotiations now?????
Need to confirm who's leaving as well before getting too bullish i would think.
Most clubs feel pretty good at this time of year with all the names that thery hear about or think they might target. Then reality sets in somewhere around January.
Would it be fair to say Elsternwick Park/Sportscover Arena's days of hosting the VAFA Premier Grand Final are numbered? The reality was pretty stark at this time last year Penski. A number of top liners had already flagged an intention to go, there were a few retirements and several others already had travel on the horizon.
It is yet to be seen whether the rumoured inclusions all get on board and while no departures are expected at this stage, like all clubs we are likely to lose a few. However I can guarantee it in entirely different vibe now to what was post the 2013 season. Real optimism for the first time in a few years and there is no doubt that the club will be much stronger in 2015 than it was in 2014. How much stronger is yet to be seen.
And agree with FF about EP. While the ground and spectator viewing is ok the player facilities are horrendous. They should be the first consideration, not the last.
