Some very good talent Qld talent heading south to the Trott...
If you call Trevor Barker Beach Road Oval the Trott then you guys must have moved grounds. I wouldn't be too excited about a couple of blokes nominating your club as their home club

Here's some breaking news that will no doubt make the anti old boys football club people happy, and that is that the powers that be at VAFA HQ have REJECTED the proposed 5th Old Xaverians thirds team. Apparently kids of a poor skill level who just want to stay involved and have a kick with their mates should not be able to play together at the home of Prahran Football Club.

Interestingly, they appear to have decided to go and play at Kew, I'm surprised the Old Xavs president Cozzie didn't approach Toorak Park anchor tenant the Two Blues and ask if they would take them. Very disappointing decision from HQ IMO.

It seems with cricket finals and the hot weather on Saturday, there isn't going to be too many practice games played. Although from a cramping perspective, that might not be a bad thing. Plenty of players take a couple of weeks to get over the first praccy game if it is held in temps higher than 30oC.

VAFA going to re-do the grade structures that have already been sent to clubs?

Would have thought that VAFA would welcome more teams, not try & cap it like this. So what if 1 club has a hat load of teams, so long as graded suitably even if that means 2 or 3 in the same 3rds Div…
Perhaps ground availability in the inner east is the issue. With Toorak Park supporting 2 clubs unlikely any 3rds teams would be fixtured there anyway.
Given the thrashing it gets, plus being the Sunday home for Prahran Junior FC.

I think that's half the issue. The re-grading process does become somewhat semi-redundant if you're not shifting the best team from each division because that club already has another team in the higher grade because the VAFA seemingly have a policy of not putting two teams from the same club in the same division.

I think opinion would be more favourable if this was the case and they were spread over say three sections instead of five ... until such time as the two OX teams play off in a grand final, that is.

It seems that some clubs consider their season doomed, especially in the lower Thirds sections, once OX appears in the fixture for their section.

Why would skevs be playing forest hill tomorrow? That’s the epitome of a soft kill. The zebs are nearly out on their hooves..:

It’s the third SKOB Thirds team playing them 😝

How could you actually think it was the SKOB seniors? 🤣

OT beat Blacks by 3 points in a 3rd quarter game at RMIT.
Good hit out for both teams. No injuries.
Seriously playing a game with one of the worst footballs I’ve seen. The kicking skills were average at best solely on the back of a crap ball. That’s on OT as they were the home team.
