Bad call Occy!!!

It's round 3, here's a couple of recent scores for you to compare the top 3 sides:
Blacks 101 def Oakleigh 72, OH beat Oaks by more on the weekend.
Beauy 112 Oakleigh 35, Beauy a bigger margin than Blacks also.
Blacks 115 OMs 86, SKOB 129 OM's 40, hmm, another bigger margin.

It is certainly shaping as an interesting year but to be forecasting anyone to lock in Blacks or for that matter anyone else is a little extreme.

Remember St Bernards last year?

Yes completely agree here. Blacks have started well, but they were in exactly the same situation last year at 3-0. They then went on a mid season losing streak of about 5 or 6 before toppling the (at the time) unbeaten Caulfield.

Occy, you should know better than to talk up a team after round three. Not exactly sure just how much 'recruiting' they did either. Besides Willingham, it appears that all new players have come from either within the Uni or from interstate with connections at Blacks. Club is like a lost boys home!

SKevs form line suggest that they are certainly the ones to beat. Having 5 players from one premier B club represent the VAFA against the EDFL suggests that by at least reputation, they have some incredible talent. My money is on them. Beauy seem to be traveling well too, in between punching and sniping the opposition that is.

Privateeye, I'd be looking into why Howgate (Carey's former skipper) left the club.(redacted)

As for Bernards, yes remember all too well what happened with them. They started out as a bunch of bad blokes that couldn't win a game and ended up an even badder bunch of blokes who could hardly lose.

Big weekend in footy coming up, might sort out a few teams!

VFL bye this week, which clubs will benefit the most?

From the sounds of it Werribee will certainly welcome the inclusions and Skob will get some very handy players

Thanks Cardio, in Perth ATM heading back to Melbourne tomorrow straight to training, Kempo has the troops up and about early doors.

I'm pretty excited about this year, we have been a B long enough and need to get back to A and give the Toffs at Uni Blues a kick up the arse! After all, we were the first great club in the history of the VAFA, dominant in the top echelon for many decades before most of us here were born.

Look out for Crameri (cousin of Dons player) to have a massive year.

Finally, I think that Beauy are w***ers for talking themselves up, what about some humility, they have done nothing yet!!!

What about South St.Kilda and Old Scotch?

I can clarify everyone that on the remarks towards beaui being a brawling and snipering team is completely misread. If u have seen any or most of these fights....they have started because a opponent has tried to lay a cheap shot on one of the younger players which has been behind the play.....this Ofcourse leads to a veteran trying to stick up for there kids. I don't think everyone realises but the average age for their players is 22-23. So keep that in mind people. Blokes getting skooled by kids

Why remove my post OTP?? Just pointing out facts or maybe that was the issue? Should I just make stuff up like other seem too?

Seems like the blame game is up and running:
1) - see above
2) - this mess up with clearances.
3) - the Petering case.

Beauy doesn't come across as a dirty side to me. But there must be something wrong with the culture down there which is allowing this to happen.

Can you add anything CC?

Is the clearance issue correct still nothing from the VAFA and or the Seasiders? and BS has gone to ground after brecking the story?? If there was something to this story surely it would have come to light by now?

This did look bad but I believe they were both jumper punching and the hand slipped a little up ha. But there reputation for getting in fights is over the top. It's easy for older slower players to get frustrated seing a younger them beating them.

Typing crap designed to troll a response from the more excitable members of the forum is not quality posting.

Failed the "banter" "humour" and "contribution" tests, therefore got the "not needed."

You have to ask yourself, "Did I cross the line in the sand with that post?" If it gets deleted, you did. If not, you didn't. End of discussion.

Back in town, looking forward to this Saturday's game, it's always a pleasure to see Razor in his superb red leather jacket!

Two words, Charlie Richardson, the best player to come to Blacks in a long, long time. Look out, here come the Blacks, go you good things!!!

There's definitely a bit of Bootsma about him :)

I reckon if you get over the next 2 games you guys should expect a finals appearance and should push to top 2. No doubt Kempo's usual training focus on stamina/ endurance over pre-season has proven correct as you guys are running out your games.

All the best

Cheers

What about STALKERS OTP?? that post everytime you do or include you in their posts all the time.

Why are you protecting the EYE's when you tell us to leave them alone?

Whinge bloody whinge. Someone call the whaaaaaambulance.

End of discussion means end of discussion. There is zero tolerance on BF for questioning mods decisions and I can see that trying to be reasonable and explaining my position has just been an embarrassing waste of time.

If you feel poorly served and hard done by, send a PM to fred, grizzlym, weevil, or any other admin or super mod.

St Kevins (6 goals), - Old Brighton missing Marston.
Oakleigh (2 goals), - based on getting a few players back.
Beaumaris (3 goals) will drop one soon but not this one.
Uni Blacks (4 goals), continue on their merry way.
Werribee (3 goals) - based on getting a few players back.

Werribee still decimated and i beleive lost another couple to the VFL this week. And young herbie the latest casualty popping a hammy. Checking the team from round one there are 10 new players or should i say 10 injuries to guys that are walk up starts. Can westy let us no when these guys are due back the talk is alot of long termers. Good luck for this week im sure your blokes will be breathing fire for obvious reasons.
