Completely disagree. There was no "hit" behind the play to speak of, was reported for "kicking". Given the footage shows nothing of the kind its a crappy result for a young kid. Blacks are appalled that he was rubbed out. Check out the dartfish footage. 2nd quarter - 5mins, 12 secs, player number 14 for blacks. Will let you all be the judge.

All in all the game was played in great spirits by both clubs. Both played hard and tough footy in trying conditions. Both teams should be commended.

Also, I've heard the saint kevins player required as a witness was a no show. does he then get a week?

Tape is inconclusive.

For what it's worth, is everything locked in? Can OM's consolidate 4th or will the Krushers win their last game in the VAFA? Can Beauy beat AJAX by enough if SKOB lose? Can the Hoers take out a few Uni boys on the mud heap?

Found it Pete.

Yeah, the negotiations sound strange and then to think that BOTH clubs tore up the deal before the meeting seems very unfortunate.

Perhaps it was written on the back of a "bear' coaster

Looks like 'Mister Magic' has performed the ultimate trick and made himself DISAPPEAR.

Well done

Cheers

"what deal??"

A WRITTEN agreement for the Caulfield Bears to accept a $175,000 offer from Ajax Football Club to leave Princes Park was destroyed before a critical council meeting.
The agreement, presumably struck to boost Ajax's bid to relocate to Princes Park, was signed by the clubs on January 27.
Glen Eira Council has demanded to see the deal and, on August 14, voted 5-3 to give the two clubs 14 days to produce a copy.
But the clubs said they tore up the deal the night before the council meeting.
Under it, Caulfield would have moved from Princes Park to Koornang Reserve in Carnegie with $175,000 to upgrade its facilities.
This would have paved the way for Ajax to potentially move into Princes Park.
Ajax president Ian Fayman said the agreement was drawn up so Ajax's seniors could play at the same ground as its juniors - Princes Park - as most members lived in Glen Eira.
"Our intentions were honourable. We notified council from day one," Fayman said.
"The money was never paid and won't be paid. It was to specifically be used for the pavilion at Koornang Park."
The matter could have been handled better, he said.
Caulfield trains at Princes Park and has played home games at Koornang for two seasons.
More than $2.4 million has been spent refurbishing Princes Park but it sits idle on Saturdays.
The council has agreed to let Ajax hold a community day at Princes Park on September 1.

Excellent strategy by the Jacka's for mine, the Bears will lose council support and ground will be free. The Jacka's will step in. Plenty of influence at council level, $ talks. Bye Bye Albert Park.

Okay, for the last time for six teams:

AJAX vs Beaumaris
Old Melburnians vs Oakleigh
Old Haileybury vs St Kevins
University Blacks vs Old Ivabhoe
Werribee vs Old Brighton

Thank God that's over.

Hope to see you soon.

Play nice in my absence.

Great win by my boys today over a pathetic SKOB, whoever plays them in the prelim is going to A grade with Blacks, what a joke of a club, it happens every year, it's called the Skobiwobbles.
Great future for my boys, we are young and hungry, led by the brilliant Brede Seccull.
St Kevin's so called state player guns are the most over rated players in the VAFA, flat track bullies, whilst their coach is just another one in their long line of coaches who will be sacked.

Gotta love blokes who get brave at the end of the seasons!!! Noticed OH fesses actually toppled SKOB as well, the bloods must be turning it around.... Usually a hundred point flogging. Any chance of a little match report? Ps strange call from a side who beat Skob and uni but didn't make the finals... Too reliant on the VFL blokes? Lack of character when the big blokes don't play? Please bite... Stuckonhomedutiestonight!!

I notice that St Kevins were advertising for almost entire new coaching panel in the record today. Also stated would be in B GRADE ? Why not wait until end of season. On what I have seen would expect Blacks and Beaumaris to go up. Where are the finals? Big ground will help the !st semifinal sides.

what are you alluding to regards the Krushers ?

would love to know

For what it's worth, big news at the tribunal with Petering sidelined for 3 weeks. Finals over for him and probably Beauy as well now.
Still think the top 2 will play off in the GF, with OMs to win this week.

Not great for the CV - reported at 25 minute mark of Q4 when they couldn't lose third spot nor gain 2nd.

No doubt Petering has some issues ...silly boy has missed way too much footy. In fact he hasn't played a game against OMs or St Kevins this year so Beauy's finals progression certainly doesn't hinge on him. Sure they'd prefer to have him available, but if he's simply undisciplined, maybe not!

He wants to be careful, he is entering de-registration territory ala Mitch Grant.

As they say on Footy Confidential...BAD CALL. If you really knew your footy you would study which players played and didn't play plus you would have noted SKOB were 4 pts down in the last q before they put the stick in the rack.

Made the mistake of not choosing to follow in his fathers footsteps when it came to choosing a club.;)
