Premier B - 2015

That is the dumbest thing I've ever seen written. Putting the A grade aside, the B grade is the strongest competition? That's why it's B grade. Einstein, you are not.
Hey Newbie,

Show some respect to the Jas. Don't come on here and throw "cut lunches" like Mike Tyson, without contributing some of your own pearls of wisdom.

One could say the same thing about your only other post which gives glowing endorsement to the diabolical new VAFA website.

Jase is a wonderful contributor here. Please show some respect.

It looks like Old Brighton, Old Melburnians and St Kevin's are setting the pace in Premier B. In fact, I'm prepared to stick my neck out and say that the eventual premier could come from one of these three teams. And it will be OM v SKOB for the grand final in Premier B.

Not impressed with St Bedes yesterday Jase?

With all due respect, in post #501 he did state that he was at Boss James watching the U19s.
Hard not to respect a side that has as much A Grade experience as the Tigers. Suspect they'll be in the thick of it at the pointy end.
Apologies Jase.

Welcome back Unca!:thumbsu:

PS Wait a minute. He hasn't seen O.B, O.M or SKOBS either has he?:)

AM, what's happened to the Nodders? Fair to say an unexpected start to the year?
Haven't seen them this year Briza. But speaking to a mate who was at the Rovers game he said they appeared slow and he was singularly unimpressed with the coach who did little to address some of the on-field problems as he saw them. Former DeLa unders coach and spent some time at Salesian so he's no dill in the coaching biz.

The big ANZAC Day game between Hampton Rovers & Old Brighton at Boss James Reserve could tell us how far one of these two teams could go in Premier B this season. In fact, it could be one of the most important games the Rovers have played in over the last 2 years. Win against OB, and the Rovers could say they belonged in Premier B, very much a genuine chance of being part of September action, and also showing how far they have come in 2 years.

Weather forecast: 13-14deg, rain and 30km/h winds.

I wouldn't read into the results of this weekend too much Jase.

It'll be the teams that kick straight and/or have a bit of luck with the umps that'll win this weekend.

I don't envy the players.

Give it time I say Brian.
There's enough quality there - Dalton, Muling, Phibbs, Cowan, Warby, Kelly that they'll pull through 10 debutants, well new players to the club, they'll find their grove.

Not sure why everyone got their nickers in a twist over AChampion's comment, it was a fair spank on the bum for a post that wasn't all that well thought out.
I also like Jas's comments (except when he rabbits on about the finals venues!!) but even the most seasoned poster needs to be told once in a while!!

I ventured out to Glen Waverley to watch the Mazenod and Brighton, Brighton were simply too fast for the Nodders. Mazenod seem to have changed their game style a bit and they look to move the ball a lot slower - not sure if that is by design but no flow to their game. Brighton looked very impressive.

Should the VAFA look at having a representative footy-free year (ie no representative/State of Origin football) next season, so all of the focus can be on club football? Just for 1 year.

Jase, I propose you start your own thread, title Jascave's daily musings.

Not surprised to see Old Brighton flying early, a great coaching appointment that has flown under the radar, with a newly resurfaced home ground, looking good for a finals tilt with great kids coming through from the school.
Brian,
When do Old Brighton start playing on their new surface? I went past the ground and noticed that the goal posts haven't been installed yet.

Perhaps I was a bit harsh but it seems that how it rolls here. Sorry to Jascave. But there are a,b,c grades, etc. for a reason.

Saw the 2nd half of the SKOB's v Fitzroy on the weekend. Maybe something happened earlier but what was going on with #16 and #22 in Q3. Brian, Bob, Sausage...anyone.

Jascave how was the game today Jase?
Old Brighton played very well yesterday and deserved the win. When does Old Brighton play St Kevins, because after SKOB's demolition job on Old Melburnians, it could be a finals preview. Wouldn't be surprised to see them finishing 1-2 at the end of the regular season.
