i heard the same thing mouthpiece speaking.I heard he applied for the Balwyn job amongst others.
i think they put all their eggs in the hibbo basket and were shell shocked when he declined. They should have held off. The rumor about Pat Hawkins getting the "boot" was around prior to this appoint being made.
"Pat Hawkins OS Senior Coach" has a better ring about it I would have thought..

it is getting on in the year so he may be doing early christmas shopping.Edgar hasn't replied yet
any whispers of any big ins/outs trade whispers??
Coming down from premier, Carey seem to content they will retain most of their list with some possible handy inclusions.
A few murmurs coming from the snakepit that some names are on their way to the cashed up nearby EDFL clubs which could set them back, but only time will tell.
let the silly season begin!
It would seem at least one and maybe another have committed to an EDFL club close to The Pit but am hearing that another EDFL club is also preying on the Snowdog Premier B carcass so there might be more that are taking up the $$$$$ on offer.

Sullivan athletics, Peart EDFL, Hughes twins VFL, Cook travel and Bentick retired are not playing either. I've also heard Simon Caven may play at Strathmore.
They will pick up the coaches son from Old Haileybury and a couple who travelled o/s last year.
geez you'd hope they pick up some!! thats a fair list to make up
They are too well drilled to double drop but you're right, this is a massive gap in talent that they need to plug or they're not coming back up to A Grade anytime in the foreseeable future (or even playing B Grade finals for that matter).
Most of these kids leaving played for these clubs as juniors, so only one point players.

So just the one team in Premier A (Xavs), one team in Premier B (Panthers) and one team in Premier C (Bears) - fits perfectly.
Amazed Canada has not been been pumping up the good news coming from Panther land. New recruits committing along with long absentees returning e.g Reid and Rimmington. Several youngsters who had a poor start through long term injury are now a big part of #generationnext and eager for preseason to begin. Some very handy recruits already on board for 2017. Going to be very exciting season. My very very very very early tip is Panthers will be in the 4 come finals time.

They are at least talking up a confident game, even if whispers already suggest otherwise on a number of fronts.
There are already 5 regular senior player confirmed departures so not sure how to read interpret this article
(6 including Sullivan if he takes up athletics)
maybe just talk up a confident game as you said^
I think this article is a bit more accurate

Saw Mark Lock and Sam Crocker are playing at Carey next season. Both very handy senior VFL players in a good to very good side for several years.
Wow.
Good gets! Carlton tells us Reid and Rimmington are back, plus I know Ceppi from Vermont is also down there. Perhaps Carltons tip of a finals birth may be accurate.
Agree the Snowdogs outs names look rediculously bad, but input from them was minimal last year and they were a decent team. They are still favourites IMO.
Perhaps Carey, Brighton and Scotch to round it out.
With Scotch choking come finals time.
