Keano that is very generous. But let's be honest, any of the four can win and your boys are the ultimate party spoiler. Whilst you lose a couple you still have a couple of very good VFL ins. I agree and think OI and OT are the most PremA ready . OC are the least. But at senior level no club would surprise

I think the Panthers and Fields final will be a ripper, and while it is possible for either of them to knock out the loser of the 2nd Semi, I can't see them going all the way.

I suspect both Carey and Caulfield would mark the season as success by making finals. I don't think OI & OT would.

The rider on my position is based on teams largely having their first choice teams on the park. Injuries to key players can make a crucial difference, ie. Harry Hill and Old Brighton last season.

Little whack from fitzroy whose twos are getting ready for a finals campaign while their seniors have had mad monday scheduled for weeks now.

Old Ivanhoe vs Old Trinity - OT won both contests this year and I think are healthier.
Caulfield Grammarians vs Old Carey - Caulfield won their last meeting and have their qualifying VFL lads.

Not confident on either picks

How many VFL players are eligible?
Just three:
1. Ollie Lowe (NM)
2. Matt Clarkson (NM)
3. Josh Hutchings (Sandy)

Hutch & Clarko have only played around 5-6 VFL games each (Hutch played a lot early with injuries at the Saints and Clarko got called up a few months back, but played well and stayed in the team).

Lowe spent a large chunk of the year with NM, but got dropped and played all the byes to qualify. He's a quality individual and a genuine leader amongst our playing group (on and off the field).

Ingo Dammersmith (Coburg) and Pat Fairlie (Preston) didn't go close to qualifying with only 2 games each.

So basically clutch Hutch comes in and the Dingo goes out from last weeks Caulfield team.

Ollie played 15 VFL didn't he ?
Just shows the joke of Nathan Jones being able to qualify with only 2 games , wrong thread i know

The VAFA rules were clear at the start of the season.

Had NM not dropped Ollie he wouldn't have been able to qualify, but they did so Caulfield's gain.

Personally I think the issue with Jones was that he played in pro comps before transferring and then only played 2 games to qualify. Looks more like a gun for hire.

But again I believe Peninsula have complied with the rules.

Don't you back undefeated Ormond to beat them if they make the GF?

Of course , but we have few bad injuries , but hopefully the depth . I know a few OP people thought bringing him in was against the spirit of it and some poor kid will miss out

What a stunning day.
I think Ivanhoe may be able to burn the hedges of Trinity today. Should be total fire ban IMO
CaulVFL to defeat the Panthers.

It’s a little bit Mork and Mindy out at Preston.
3/4 Time, 7.7 to 1.1 to the Mindy favoured end.
Should see Trinity run away victors in the magoos.
Who will play the wind better in the big one? Will the wind blow out the pending hedge 🔥?

The wind is playing its part.
Hedges jump out fast and then the brown boys reel them in.
Mork from Ork thinks it’s a great game.
Nanu Nanu Shazbot.

16.17 to 5.8 (to the scoring end)
Always good to kick to the scoring end first. Teams are tired and you can close things down in the last.
During the Xavs power run of flags..the Elsternwick breeze was a freak show and it was always good to boot out to a lead early.
Well done Trinity on the win.
