After an even 1st term, OC managed to nullify the Nodders' expert use of the Central Reserve 'corridor' and eked out a 4 goal half time lead. We weathered 2 comebacks in the first 10-15 minutes of each of the 3rd and 4th terms to finally register a hard fought win.

Nodders really missed Beard, Thomas, Phibbs and Bourbon and, whilst we have a few to come back in the next fortnight too, we were lucky to draw them so early and undermanned!

There's a couple that seem to lock in fairly easily but a week in practise matches is a long time.
The grapevine from the next few week's practise matches will need to be factored in.
Nevertheless, a bold prediction, TMS, which well may prove to be the outcome.

Agreed, whilst the Vultures at Gerry Green is always a tough assignment, the fact a talent laden Roy's outfit couldn't get the points would suggest the rebirth of Parkdale as a serious VAFA force has already commenced.

How they've managed to attract that level of talent to D1, and now Premier C is almost beyond belief, but it will certainly put them in a strong position to challenge for the flag.
