Great effort, g_n. That's a huge win, but not surprised. Parky are a bit of a surprise based on what we saw of them, but you'd have to think they're a sure thing for September action with 2 and a half wins more than 5th place. Put a line through 6th down. 4th spot will be a battle between 'Nods & OC.
Great effort by our boys on the weekend. A couple of junk time goals made the gap look bigger than it was. Can sniff that first win....!!

Thanks UM....your results have been promising. Keep up the good work.
Massive test against the Roys this week.

Whats going on at OC?? Lost 3 out of the last 4. Do they have a few injuries?? They were going great guns early

Make that 4 out of the last 5. Can't see OC making the finals at all unless their form turns around over the next few weeks, with only half a win separating them from the next four teams. interesting month coming up...

I am trying to organise something on the 8th September which is the first week of the finals.
Has anyone seen this year's finals schedules yet? Does Prem C play on Sundays during the finals?

Old Camberwell vs Monash Blues
Marcellin vs Hampton Rovers
Banyule vs PEGS

Heartening to see that reporters and alike can see silver lines in the darkest of clouds.:)

or as my old man use to say throughout Saints darkest days: " Every crowd has a silver lining" :D

Round 12 tips just to get this thread moving again.

Rupertswood to beat Hampton Rovers
Banyule to beat Monash
Marcellin to beat PEGS
Vultures to beat Fitzroy

I got sucked in by the Fitzroy posters a few weeks back and tipped them to win yesterday. Never again!
I watched Parkdale systematically destroy the Reds yesterday. They were ruthless in defense and pretty efficient in their forward 50. Fitzroy wated a few opportunities up front and if you believe what some of their supporters said "they was robbed" by the umpires. However there is little doubt The Vultures played a superior game and proved if you shut down Ablett, you shut down Fitzroy.

Yep, Parkdale were very good. End result probably didn't reflect the game in my opinion as were we extremely poor in front of goal - missing 10 set shots from inside 35m in the 2nd and 3rd qtrs. When you lose by 10 goals, the umpires really don't matter but I tend to agree that Parkdale got the rub of the green but thats football. I don't think Ablett was shut down, more the fact that he tore his groin in the 2nd qtr.
About 6-8 to come back in so I wouldn't right the Roys of just yet but Parkdale were very impressive.

Well, well well..looks who is back in town.. super slueth Scribe after a win!

Yes..you didn't need Pegs knocking off marcellin did you?

Hampton not far away from a win

We actually won against Monash before the break but it was such a non-descript effort as not to warrant much comment.
If it annoys you that I don't post each week regardless of the result, then I'm happy.

Frankly I have other things to focus on in life right now.

I wasn't aware that Ablett had sustained an injury. -Hope he recovers quickly.

Mazenod
Parkdale
Fitzroy
OC
Rupertswood

Word has it Marcellin are suffering the OS trip blues at present with at least 6 regulars missing - is this correct ?
HR have improved out of sight with their June 30 recruits, take then lightly at your peril. Young dreadlocked ruckman is a beauty
OC v Banyule, should be a thriller.
