C Section Premier C - 2014

Have to go in pretty confident. They've only lost the 3 games. Two were 52 & 69 points to us.
Oakleigh will be a big one next weekend and OC have shown they need to be respected.
Weeks like Banyule have shown our consistency needs to improve, but we've had to play 51 to date so it's a great effort to have maintained enough of a consistency to be 12-4. As you said, still much to play out. No excuses from here on in. Need to make every post a winner or end up an also ran.

Looks like it will be a Marcellin v Rovers 2nd Semi Final, with the other semi final likely to be Monash & any one of Parkdale, PEGS or Oakleigh.

For what its worth, finals are set. Great effort from Parkdale considering they were looking at a double drop early doors.

Twisty . The club is rebuilding and are very solid off field which will translate into success on field eventually. A massive turnover this year and the unders will play deep into finals - good signs.

Thanks Uncle, HR have had plenty of changes too, might just say that the depth is better based upon results.HR a good solid club, would have them anytime in preference to St Bedes.

The depth comment is an interesting one. Our 2s are second last on the ladder with just the 4 wins, but if you look at the % it is a fair indication of how competitive we are/have been. Unfortunately, the high turnover in the Seniors naturally has an adverse effect on the Reserve side.
On the topic of 2s, did Banyule forfeit over the weekend or is it a case of someone forgetting to put the scores in?

You have done very well UM, its a credit to your club and I hope you go well. I knew you had played so many, so that's an outstanding effort compared to us.

Just thought he may have advised someone of his intentions for 2015. If he is not going on it gives the club the finals series to proactively look for a coach whilst he could possibly be in action..

Naturally, I have only seen him from afar but the feedback from around the club has been terrific, hope he gets supported.

For what its worth, i suppose we will have to agree to disagree but i think it is disrespectful to suggest that a team that is yet to be promoted in C grade is in a better position than a A grade team that is yet to be relegated. But just my thoughts I could be wrong...... i also find it disrespectful to call someone a chump, but again just my thoughts i could be wrong.
