Monash beat Yarra Valley. Lots of new young talent to sort through as usual.

Great to see club legend Spider Smith has taken the Presidential reins down at the Frearson.

Ventured to carrum today to watch oakleigh vs bonbeach. Krushers by about 4 goals. Really well drilled young side. Big sleepers. Watch this space

Anyone got any mail on how Peninsula or Therry are tracking? Agree that Oakleigh were very competitive last year, same coach this year, led by a good captain will be a team to look out for.

The Pirates had an intraclub practise match at St Kilda's Seaford complex last Saturday. Have recruited several handy looking players from the Mornington Peninsula area.
They are playing Rosebud at Rosebud this Sunday and Fitzroy Reds at Victoria Park, Collingwood the following weekend.

They have a massive home ground advantage. They have started last couple of years well then fallen away. Wonder if Whitty (spelling)playing this year or vfl?

PEGS travelling to Therry Penola this Saturday. This should be a good game. Be very interested to see where Therry are at in C. Only few suburbs from each other, a real local derby. PEGS look like they beat Marcellin comfortably. I am told PEGS have lost a few, but gained some quality young kids. Therry are on the up, don't know a lot about them. Have some key forwards and quality captain.

You blokes have got no clue about OH

  • first of we have had a change of coach since xmas Brewer had to step down becuase of work commitments not coz of bad numbers at training
  • New coach Hughesy from OMs has been terrific and the boys are looking good on the track so far
  • Weekes and Mchalaun havent left
  • niccopoplous hasnt left
  • Collins has left to go to de la - no loss as he was a 2s player
  • Meehen has gone but they have gotten a much better replacement
  • they have recruited well from the school and other leagues
Dont ride the bloods of just yet

You might want to ask Brewer why he left....

Marcellin Defeated Ivanhoe by 9 goals, making it 2 from 2 with their 7 point win last week against PEGS
Think PEGS beat Marcellin by 7 goals last week. Therry played PEGS today. I am told PEGS won by 4-5 goals .

Bad mail buddy. Got beaten very easily.
Sorry Big Duck you're wrong. PEGS were up by 5 goals at halftime, but Marcellin fought back to take the biscuits by 7 points last weekend. They followed up with a 9 goal win today at Ivanhoe Plenty
