So with 4 games to go
- the top 3 are locked away
- OIGFC are 2.5 games clear of 5th/6th and need to win 2 more games to assure themselves of finals. But they play Pirates and Fields in last 2 games, and they play 2 teams fighting to avoid relegation in the next 2 rounds.
- Kew have 4 winable games, none against top 4 and 1 against Willy. They would need to win all 4 and hope OI only win 1 of the last 4
- Willy play 2 top team and Kew, so seems their chances are shot.

For mine, OI should be able to win 2 more. However, if not, Kew will make the 4. And on their day, they are more than capable of matching it.

Can we have this poster banned. He dared talk intelligently about football.

Kews biggest problem is that all there remaining games are fixture away which seems odd....they are a pretty good side and certainly gave the Fields a fright in both times this year.

Old Ivanhoe beat fields last time they met....depending on injuries I couldn't see that happening again..but they are getting more players back too...and important ones.

Peninsula is the interesting one for me...Fields comfortably beat them last time down the coast...but they seem to be the inform team and there wins seem pretty comprehensive.

Big game for Willy at home this week against the fields .

The Pirates are the best we have played , with Caulfield not far behind. Both times we played Mazenod we were very competitive and their coach can't believe we are on the bottom. I believe Oakleigh had as many inside 50's as the Pirates, but just couldn't score. Willy there will be a tough ask for the Fields, especially if it's a shit day.

He had 1 year where he might have done 5 out of 18 and then as I said 3 or 4 as we have another guy who does most and he's terrible.

Ah ok, cheers, the times i saw Finey he was good so a shame you don't have him every week then

Just curious, I see complaints about the Caulfield person doing Caulfield games, how does Premier-Premier C reserves work? I see they get appointed every week by the VAFA but is it club people who are supposed to be sent to neutral games or do club people get appointed to their own teams? I know a couple of them are long time VAFA umpires obviously dropped down to reserves level as they get older but curious how it works. Until your mention of the Caulfield bloke I had assumed they were all neutral!

I am sure the Ormond guys on the forum are all totally unbiased and fair.....but let's not overdo this. The guy is a volunteer been involved in the amateurs for 30 years...I did not see the incident last week but let's not bury him and taint him as a cheat...certainly haven't heard any other team complaints .

I know a few people at Kew were surprised to see the Caulfield guy in charge. Might also be a Peninsula player in trouble this week after an Oakleigh player went down.

Did he not play nearly 200 games for the Fields. To give him credit, he sent the Ormond coach a message saying he didn't realise what a ball player and record the player he sent off had.

The fixture is a weird one.
While Kew have last 4 away, Eagles have last 4 at home. I think they are safe. Last weeks draw very handy. Play Ormond, Kew, Willy and Maz. Can see 2 wins at home. And no way two of other three relegation candidates will get to 24 pints IMO. One of them may.
If Ormond beat Marc at Marc next week then it's a raffle.
Whilst Ormond look most likely to fall, they would look at all remaining games as winnable. Kew at home and then games against other relagation contenders.
Exciting Stuff.

That's your post of the season.

Perhaps top 5. But let's not lose our heads here.
Is there a reason for Marc playing last 4 at home? School kicks them off in middle of winter to protect surface?
To protect the surface earlier in the season with a heavy school load being had. I think they played 7 away in a row after round 3 and this is now the balance.

Still think they'll drop. I've heard that a new coach has pretty much been appointed for 2017. Just some dots and crosses to go.

Gents...just wondering what the condition of the Willy Ground was like last week if anyone witnessed.

Thanks
