Premier C - 2016

Full credit to Marcellin yesterday, jumped us early against the wind and it was always catch up. The future looks good where ever that may be with 11 players under 20 yesterday. Still 3 to go , anything can happen and hopefully it gets down to who wins the Timekeepers cup in round 18.
On another note why was there 3 umps yesterday.

AFL use 3 umpires on ground the size of Marcellin's. Also getting umps ready for finals when they have 3 umpires.

It didn't work, 1 of the three was good, the girl won't make a decision and the other one would be better doing Clubbies. The girl we have had 6 times, that's a joke.

I understand the main role of Chuck and Gibbo is development but when there’s a scarcity of capable umps in the lower grades I don’t get why they aren’t used in Prem ‘C’ more often.

I bit my tongue last week and didn't name or suggest . I don't think it's the girls fault. I think that she has been told not to give decisions so she doesn't make bad ones. She missed time after time last week. Didn't disadvantage either side , but you have to make them when you need to protect players going for the ball..she needs to be given lower grades and more education on the rules of th e game.

As I said not her fault she is being put in a position she shouldn't be in. We need to encourage umpire so they don't get disheartened but they need to learn in low grades.

That surprises Scruffy. I've heard the Monders Prez, who has "A" Section central umpiring GF credits to his name, suggest umps are told to call 'em as they 'em.

Tough day down there yesterday . Blowing it Ts off. We had a serious injury which stopped the game and Ambulance had to take one of our kids away. An incidental head knock but he collapsed when he got up...terrible to watch and his parents were there.

Willy played there ground well and scored both times into the gale by using the protected areas of the ground and derived to win.

We had 5 out ,all key players incl the Captain but don't want to make any excuses because we didn't play smart....

Hopefully the loss we needed to kick us into gear going into finals

Totally different to the speed of Premier C on a quick deck at Bulleen.
